I'm doing a solid white oak beam mantle project at my house and need to drill precisely located and 7" deep holes straight down on the back side of the mantle for the wall supports to slide into. Getting that right gives me anxiety.If you are doing something similar, buy yourself an EANOSIC upcut spiral router bit and it will save you a lot of frustration. I used this in my Dewalt DW618 plunge router to make the job a whole lot easer. I was able to set router in the exact spot I wanted to effortlessly plunge straight down " to get the hole started. Getting a straight hole started is key and allowed me to come back with a hand drill to bore the rest of the way down.One thing to note, when I inserted this bit in my router it stuck out about 1/2" from the base of my router so I had to predrill a 1/2" diameter pilot hole so my router could sit flat on the project surface. With the bit inserted as far deep as the router allows, it allowed about a 3" plunge into the project. I suppose if I wanted to make this process easier I could have bought this bit in different lengths and swap them out after each plunge but I really didn't want to spend the money for multiple bits when this is likely a one off project. Hand drilling was laborious and time consuming so definitely something I would invest in if doing multiple mantle installs.The bit did come in a clear protective tube for storage. I wish it had a cap on it with an eyelet so that I could hang it up on my pegboard. All in all I'm very pleased with the product for the price and would by other EANOSIC bits in the future.

I particularly like that you can buy an extended version of this original but they actually purchase two. The bit is built very sturdy there’s no way that this is ever going to break. However for the cost it seems a bit excessive. My favorite thing is one a bid been a shift with a very nice case. I only plan to use this bitch cutting using my festool1400. So it’s nice and I can toss it in the case and keep in inside the retainer.I did purchase again I own two of these just to have a back up.I hope this review is helpful

I got this bit to drill holes with my plunge router. I'm working in radiata pine, which reduces to a fine dust. It cuts very well, plunging a 2" deep hole in one or two steps..I was worried that the bit wouldn't clear the sawdust, as the web is much thicker than a drill. It does leave dust in the deep holes, but it is loosely packed and blows out easily. A bit of vibration, but I've come to expect that in a long bit in a handheld router spinning at 30,000 rpm.

I ran this bit in white oak to pocket out for a sign I was doing and it left a clean cut that needed no sanding.It also ejected all the chips for the dust collector to pick up.I am very happy with the bit and plan on using it more oftenthis bit is great and I would highly recommend it. It was also a pleasure to deal with this company and it was delivered to me when it was promised

I am using this router bit in an air-cooled 3kw CNC router system. This is a robust heavy-duty router bit that cut through everything I tried with it: 3/4 inch plywood, oak, walnut and even some MDF. It cut through everything with minimal fuzzies left on the wood. With the 3-flutes I was able to increase the cutter feedrate over what I used with my one-flute and 2-flute router bits. Highly recommend this router bit and it will be go-to router bit in your arsenal.
