This 30 amp 240 volt L14-30P generator inlet box was surprisingly heavy. The inlet cover cap seems to be designed well and should work to protect the plug from the elements when not in use. There's also an inbuilt LED which is kinda neat. One thing I like is that all the knockouts are pre-drilled and will accept a 1" fitting. Previous boxes I've used had knockouts that had to be drilled out with a special tool, but that's not the case here. The plug itself seems to support normal twist-lock plugs as well as plugs with the threaded locking collar. When I get it installed, I'll post additional photos.

This makes it easier to keep the generator outdoors, yet able to hook up to the breaker box inside. It's a fine-quality product that should perform this task for many years ahead. If there was any issue I could inform about, believe me I'd be happy to do so. Since there isn't, I'll throw 5 stars at it and have fun installing...

The all weather metal CAMWAY 50Amp Generator Inlet Box is well made with no exposed seams, and a great cover lid that totally encloses the wiring. Their are no sharp edges inside or out. The plastic caps that closes the input lines (pic.#5) have rubber gasket plus the interior nut that hold it tightly. The ground wire to the box is secured well. All wire connections are color coded, but I would get a certified electrician to do the wiring. This kind of amps is nothing to mess around with (even 1 amp can end it all!). The back of the box has three predrilled holes to mount your box securely. Does not include mounting hardware (and I can understand why they did not). Make sure you have a SS2-50R female plug to fit the male fitting. Fast Shipping
