Compared to others I have purchased before this seems to be of equal quality and build. Easy mounting too.

This is a very nice Generator inlet box, it's completely weatherproof and solidly built. I got this because previously I'd have to run an extension cord through a window if the power went out to bring power in from my Generator and even then I couldn't run full power through one extension cord so I'd need two. I didn't hook this up to my electric system I just installed two regular outlets in my house that only work when the generator is hooked up. I have one outlet in the basement closet and the other is in a kitchen cabinet where it's easy to run a cord to the fridge. I have my boiler wired so the burner can be unplugged from its ordinary power source and plugged into an extension cord that goes to the generator outlet. This allows me to have Heat, Hot Water, and a working fridge plus I still have one open 110v outlet on each floor for whatever I might need like a lamp, toaster oven, or Microwave. This Generator Inlet Box is great and it's 50 amps which is what the twist lock output on my generator puts out so now I have two interior outlets (4 plugs) with a combined 50 amps of 110v power (My first Apartment was in a 150 year old house and my whole four room apartment ran on two 20 amp fuses, scary).

50 Amp Generator Inlet Box with 4 Pre-Drilled Holes Green Safely Light NEMA SS2-50P for 3 Prong Generator 125/250 Volts 12500 Watts Outdoor RV Use, ETL Listed for Emergency in Snowstorm Weather. This is exactly what we need to be able to hook our generator up to our house if we ever have a power outage. It is a good quality and should be durable for many years to come. So far we've been lucky enough to not need to use it. However this was easy to install and is of high quality. My generator hooks up to it easily and everything works as it should.

It's heavy-duty and ready for the next emergency. I spent three weeks without power from the big eastern storm and kept saying I would hook up my generator. I'm not ready to pay $15,000 for a whole-house generator. I have a dual-fuel generator and was able to power my fridge and lights on but we also have a well. I had to run wires throughout the house but was unable to connect my well. By directly connecting to my box, I was able to disconnect the outside source and turn on what I required.

We live in Florida and we got this and let because we purchased a portable generator and wanted it connected to our house. We had an electrician do it but we needed an inlet box for the generator. This inlet box installed perfectly and very easily and we had absolutely no issues whatsoever. I also like the safety green light that it comes with that adds a piece of security. Overall, I am very pleased with this in that box I highly recommend.

This generator power inlet box is actually bigger than I was anticipating, which turned out to be a good thing. The inside has plenty of room and I had no issues installing the 6/3 wire. It includes rubber grommets for a watertight connection. The light is a nice touch so that I know when it’s got power.
