This 30A L14-30 box is great for connecting a generator to your house or workshop. I previously had a regular L14-30 outlet with a suicided cord, which is obviously very dangerous. I would not let anyone else connect the generator except me. Now that I've replaced with this box, it is now safe for anyone to connect. This was simple to install, it is weatherproof, and it has a green safety light.

I’ve been using this 30-amp generator inlet box, and it works as expected. The NEMA L14-30P connection is solid, and the green safety light is a helpful feature to confirm power is coming through. It’s weatherproof and seems durable enough for outdoor use.The pre-drilled holes made installation straightforward, and the box has a sturdy feel. It’s rated for 125/250V and handles my 7500W generator without any issues.Overall, it’s a reliable option if you need a generator inlet box. Straightforward to install, works well, and feels built to last.

The Anbte 30 amp generator inlet box is a solid piece of electrical gear. It came with an extra knockout cover and good instructions. The enclosure is built of thick steel for an enclosure of its size, and the fit and finish is top notch. It is ETL listed. There are four 3/4" punched knockouts, one on the lower part of each side and out the back and the bottom. Hole plugs are included plus a spare. The receptacle cover is thick plastic with a flat gasket sealing the swing up cover. The receptacle is marked for proper wiring. This is a high quality 30 amp generator inlet that is well built and easy to install.

This 30 Amp generator inlet box is truly heavy duty! It’s very well made and looks like it will last a while. The electrical connections are very easily accessible and connecting is a breeze. The cover with the safety light is not spring loaded but it is not super loose either. I don’t think this inhibits its use in any way. This inlet box is well worth the cost.

I’ve been wanting to wire my generator directly into my electrical panel, so it’s easy when we need to use it and our my house this inlet is very high-quality and has great waterproofing around it. It wired right up and is easy to accept a 30 amp plug for the generator. It was very easy to integrate for my electrician and was much better quality than some of our local stores I’m very happy with this option and excited to use it as it will make power in my house in the storm a cinch.

Pros: The box structure is steel, there are good instructions, and the plastic flip-up door has a green light to indicate active power going through it.Cons: None yet, but I do wonder if the plastic door cover will hold up to the elements and sunlight degradation over time. I have used others with a steel door that may hold up better long-term.

This is a very well built inlet box. I am happy with the build quality for the most part, but have a few issues with it:The door to open and expose the metal prongs is not very well sealed, and the latch is just plastic on plastic. it is also not spring-loaded to keep itself shut.I question the waterproofing of the port, as well. There isnt much of a seal on the port when the door is shut either. The screw that holds this box together to expose the back-side of the port is decent, but the exposed metal is likely to rust over time - especially since these are used outside, oxidization will occur faster.Otherwise this inlet box is solid and would be an acceptable solution for most people who are looking to add a generator inlet to their home.

First thing about this is that it’s a heavy solid built box. The box comes prewired with your ground and it’s 10awg and real copper. It has three different knockout locations, one on each side and one on the bottom. All have screw in covers that allow you to wire this in just about any direction beside up or back. It also came with an extra knockout cover. The terminals have a clamp design for the wiring and use a number 2 Phillips to tighten them in place. The cover has a foam insert to help with moisture and dirt from getting in your contacts. The box itself doesn’t have any waterproofing where it comes together, but the top cover overlaps so that most water should run off.
