This thread checker has been incredibly useful. I had a jar full of unidentified nuts and bolts that this is helping me sort out. It's lightweight, well-made, and can even be mounted on a wall or bench. It accurately covers a majority of standard and metric sizes, one of those tools that you never realized you needed until you have one.

I've wanted one of these for a while. Was tempted to make one but every time realized how much work that was going to be. I can only imagine that CNC is the reason this can be made at this price. The corner holes are even threaded for mounting the whole thing to a wall or bench. Very sturdy without being too heavy.

This 55 Thread Nut and Bolt Thread Checker has both standard and metric measurements. My wife is a mechanic who retired from the Air Force, so she does all of the little (and big) house things that need attention around here. (She also talks very intelligently to all the other workmen that come.)She can usually tell what screw, and tools she needs from looking. But, sometimes she just wants to double check that she has the right tools for the job. As a result, she thought this was really cool. (She's easy to buy for.) She liked that she can screw a screw on this handy little board to verify exactly what she needs. As for me, I'm happy that she likes it. I'm pretty much grounded from doing handy work because I am more likely to mess something up. What can I say? She's right. I am more likely to mess something up. :*)~

I always end up with a project that requires a replacement nut or bolt. I head over to the local home improvement store and stand there for a few minutes figuring out what size it is. This thread checker saves me time and makes my work easier. Light in weight and I hang on my tool cabinet for quick access. Accurately covers a majority of standard and metric sizes. Looks great and I will be using this tool a lot.

Many times I have to bring a bolt or screw to the hardware shop to figure the size, diameter, and pitch of the threads. Now I use this before I go and know exactly what I need to purchase. I love this.
