I recently received this thread checker, and overall, I'm quite impressed with its sturdy construction and solid build quality. The materials feel robust, and it has a nice heft to it, which gives me confidence that it will last a long time. However, I did encounter an issue with a few of the holes lacking threads, which was a bit disappointing. While most of the holes are perfectly threaded and work as expected, the missing threads on some of them limit the tool's full potential. It's not a deal-breaker for me, as I can still use the majority of the tool effectively, but it's something to be aware of if you need every size to be functional.Overall, I would recommend this thread checker for its durability and quality, but just be prepared for the possibility of a few missing threads. If the manufacturer addresses this issue in future versions, it would be a near-perfect tool.

Great tool to have if you're trying to easily match the size and fitting of a bolt, nut, or cap. The construction is great, and I was surprised how large and heavy it is (in a good way). It is easy to see the printed sizes, and unlike other reviews, none of my thread posts were loose, all are very tight and in place.I don't have much else to say on this product. It works great, good price, looks awesome, and is a tool to keep around.

I've always wanted one of these, so when I saw it pop up on my feed it was a total impulse buy and I jumped on it. It was a great buy, and I love it so far, but there are just a couple tiny things keeping it from being great and 5 stars. First is I've noticed that some of the female holes either aren't threaded through the entire way, or that they got gunked up on the backside when it was anodized. It obviously doesn't stop you from using it, but bolts won't thread through all the way. I have a couple tap sets so I just ran a cleanup tap through everything and its fine now. Second is some of the male posts on the large thread sizes are a little close together. It makes it a little tough to get the larger nuts threaded on with my fat fingers. Not impossible, but another couple inches of overall length would have made it much easier. BUT... those aren't deal breakers and I love this thing. I've used it so many times this past week on a couple projects. Like many people I have a big ol tub O' hardware kicking around and this makes it much easier to find what I need. Maybe, just maybe, I'll spend some time and organize them all. But I highly doubt that :).

Very nice heavy-weight thread checker. Good to know exactly what I am dealing with vs. guessing, and will help with an upcoming organization of the various bags and boxes of miscellaneous hardware. So far this seems to be right on and accurate. The unit itself is made of some really nice heavy-weight material. Definitely pleased, and to be expected for the price point.Out of all of the nut checkers (the bolt threads standing above the plate), one of them seems to have been cross-threaded during install. It still works just fine for the purpose, it's just worth noting I guess.

I'm an IT tech, and my toolbags frequently end up collecting bits and bobs from projects that find themselves loose at the bottom. I finally decided to do something about it, so here we go! It's clearly going to be a multiple session amount of sorting, but progress is progress.Initial feedback was how heavy it was! I didn't have any threading issues that I've noticed so far, and all my bolts passed the "wiggle test". A concern I had once I realized that it was painted black (rather than using a metal dye) was that the bolts would have a difficult time threading. I'm happy to report on (at least my sample) this isn't an issue! My only complaint is that the sizes don't get small enough for everything I do in the IT world (namely M2/2.5). Can't fault the product for that, however, since it's clearly stated on the website which sizes are supported, and ones that handle M2/2.5 are double the cost. Sadly the thing isn't ferrous, because it'd be pretty sweet to be able to stick it to things via magnets.

Any tool that saves as much time as this does is worth it in my book. When my father retired I inherited his massive collection of unsorted, loose bolts and nuts -- great for saving some money but horrible to find what you need quickly! This thread checker has been saving a lot of time. It's made of solid metal, has rulers on both sides (metric and imperial) and comes pre-drilled so you could mount it to a workspace or hang it from a pegboard in your garage. One of the smaller bolts looked a bit off center on the imperial side (see the 8/32 near the top right in my image showing the whole board) but I gave it a solid tug and it isn't going anywhere, and still accepted nuts without problem. Lastly and admittedly least important, I appreciate they made it bright red because it helps me find it in a cluttered workspace.
