As with all pads when you felt some wool is left on the mat. With these new pads, it is very easily removed, either with your hand, damp cloth, or a brush. This pad is quite firm and is best for precision or detail work.

This is my second pad - they are just the right size to fit in a bag but are nice and thick to protect your lap from felting needles.
