This is not a hard-soled shoe. It flexes in the toe box. Also, the size runs very small. I wear a ladies 7.5-8 shoe size and my toes touch the end of the size small I received. I saw that this is a frequently returned item, but the reviews are so good. Don’t be persuaded. I will be returning it.

I got this boot after hammertoe surgery and it is so comfortable and stylish, far superior than what they give you at the hospital. I have been wearing it for 3 weeks with no issues. Thank you for making such great boot.

This shoe opens right up, so you can step into it, and not put pressure on a very sore toe. Then it’s easy to wrap up your foot like a package with the flaps and straps, comfortably to your foot size. I’ve worn it to work twice, I’m on my feet all day, usually walk about 5 miles, and lift heavy objects all day. This is the first time in two months my toe wasn’t killing me when I got home from work. I have a fracture in my pinky toe. I ordered the medium. I have a size 9 1/2 inch foot. It is a narrow foot but with a wide toe span. The sides of the shoe do not touch my toes. Thank you so much , Amazon , for shipping me this Heavenly shoe so quickly.

I got this to replace the post op shoe I was given at the hospital which slid too much on my foot. The two closure system on this boot prevents my foot from sliding around inside. I also added a good quality padded insole after a few weeks of using this. That greatly increased comfort. I can actually drive again safely using this boot.

The shoe fits well and is easy to put on. It is also very comfortable. It doesnt put any pressure on the sore injured area of my foot. Glad I bought it.

Items size chart is different from manufacturers size chart. If you use size chart on Amazon you WILL order wrong size.

These shoes are better for me than competitive shoes of a similar style. The soles are very firm unlike the other ones which have a soft material that can be compressed with your hands. The hard sole gives me more stability and does not wear the soft sole to the point that it causes my foot to lean to one side. The lower side material that covers the area around the heels are thicker and firmer making it easier to put the shoe on without the sides around the heel area folding or wrinkling.The strap could be longer to allow for my foot with brace to be strapped down more. The shoe fits the left or right foot with the strap permanently stitched on the right side of the shoe. The strap clasp is on the left. The competitive shoe has strap clasps on both sides (not stitched) making it reversible. This reversibility makes a difference for me since it is easier to pull the strap toward the arch of my foot.These shoes enable me to walk with more stability and more confidence due to the firmer sole. Thanks for offering an alternative.

I had foot surgery and had to wear a walking boot. The boot made me feel like Frankenstein, was heavy and uncomfortable. This shoe made it a lot easier to walk and didn't look too bad when I wore it with a black sneaker. I gave 4 starts because it's a bit hard so I got a Dr. Scholls memory foam pad and it helped a lot.
