We strung my husband’s viola. They are a little hard on the fingers but otherwise easy to string. The sound is much better than expected for such inexpensive strings. Not the best, but a great value. These are good backups on a budget; they work fine and we didn’t have any issues with breakage. Sound is good. We shall see how they hold up with time.

These are being used as "emergency" strings for my viola. I wouldn't want them to be my everyday strings -- but in a pinch (like at school / concert / etc) if a string breaks, these are nice to have on hand and inexpensive enough to hand one over to a fellow player without a second thought.They are packaged in little plastic bags - so if you are used to the nice cardboard sleeves - that is not what you get in this case.If you are a strings teacher or give lessons - they would be perfect to have on hand so you could complete your lesson if a student has a string break.

I'm using these strings for a homemade string instrument that I'm experimenting with making. The 3 sets of the viola strings are perfect for my project and were very easy to string up - I used zither tuning pins. The sound is pretty good, too, and I'm glad that this came in a set of 3. Give these a shot!

These are a softer string than what I'm used to using, but the sound quality is pretty decent. I'm not a professional by any means, but I enjoy playing. Not sure how these would hold up in an orchestral setting, but they sound good in my private home setting. Overall, I'm happy with these strings.

The quality of these strings are great for the price. They work great and sounds perfect. I can't believe how many you get in the pack for this price. These will work for years to come with no worry about strings breaking since there are so many. I did watch a video how to string a viola since I am unfamiliar with how. I was still not confident with tuning it so I did have to ask for help. It seemed easy to use for someone who knows how but for someone like me who has never done it before it is a daunting task. However, these work great and saved me money so that is the important thing.
