This is the best 35 mm FF equivalent ASPC lens for the Sony E mount.

This lens is not perfect but what you get for the money is good. There are detailed reviews that can be found.

So disappointed. Purchsaed this lens after reviewing wonderful reviews by youtubers. Item arrived but box was opened; missing lens cap (bottom) and manuals outside the box. Looks like a returned item i guess. I am returning it.

Very sharp lens with good contrast and nice overall rendering. Metal construction including a metal lens hood. Focus is fast and accurate. It costs much less than the almost ten year old and slightly slower Sony Zeiss 24mm 1.8. This newer Viltrox is just as sharp and has great color, better focusing performance than the Zeiss and a physical aperture ring to boot! Great Value!

As you shoot with it, it sometimes locks the camera (Sony A7iii) up. I thought it was the camera at first and then the memory card. Turns out the issue only happens when using this lens. I don't use it much since I can't depend on it when I shoot things I can't pause(events, sports etc).

Great value lens. Nice fast aperture. Solid metal build. 35mm equiv on APSC. the only thing I don't like is that it is too easy to jar the aperture ring. I'd rather have a lens without one since we can control the aperture in camera anyways. But for the price I won't complain too much.

This lens sits in a class of its own. A 35 full frame equivalent focal length with a super fast f1.4 is unique enough, but then add sharpe images, and accurate quick autofocus and you're got a winner. As an A6400 owner, I wish it had lens stabilization for video work, but the fact that it is still light enough to balance on my Crane M2 gimbal means I can still get noise-free, buttery-smooth footage in low light. Can't do that with the kit lens! The autofocus is a bit loud, but only picked up on the internal mic, not my side or top mounted mics. For those wondering about 23mm, it's an incredibly versatile focal length - never feels too close nor too far away. So it can be a great option for the perfect walk-around travel lens. All these features and good build quality at a great price? Easy 5 stars for me.

Needed this to fill in the gap between my Sigma 16 and 30 lenses. This is the one I need for my space when recording presentations and it's excellent.

I think this lens is a steal at $299. I like the photos it gets, it's very lightweight, feels well built and even looks nice on the camera. I could give it 5 stars but I hate the adjustable aperture ring. I will probably never use it and have already bumped it out of auto a couple of times. Not a deal breaker at all, just annoying. This little lens goes all the way to 1.4 just like the sigma trio (16, 30, 56). I would still give the Sigmas the edge in sharpness but this lens is still nice.
