I loved this lens. Everything about it except the focus breathing. In video, and shifts in focus caused the video to jump in and out in size. Too distracting for my needs. I had to return the lens. Not for me.

A bargain fast wide angle 35mm lens in Nikon Z mount. This lens is a fraction of the cost of the Nikon equivalent and yet performs very well indeed. It is well made and very nicely finished. The images are sharp even wide open. The edges hold up well even at maximum aperture and stopping down a couple of stops brings everything even better. I'm happy using this lens wide open to achieve maximum separation between foreground and background. Out of focus background areas are very nicely handled. There is little or no distortion and no CA was observed. The lens comes complete with a well fitting hood and a USBc port for firmware updates. Very good value for money.

I wanted an affordable 35mm. It's quick and fast on my Nikon z system.

Great buy if you're looking for an alternative option to some of the more expensive options available. The meike 35mm handled low light very well . Produced sharp images , fit perfectly on my camera and performed very smooth and quiet .

The 35mm f2 Meike lens is a pleasant surprise in an inexpensive, small form factor. (For a size comparison, the lens is roughly the same size as the Nikon Z 35mm f1.4, being just a bit narrower, but significantly lighter!) I took the lens out on my Zf during both a sunset and sunrise to test out image quality and handling in real world shooting conditions. I was very happy with its ease of handling. The AF/MF switch is well-built, with a solid "click" into place. The switch is also perfectly located to be activated with the thumb of your left hand when cradling the lens in your left palm. I'm impressed with the thought that went into a single switch!I've added several photos to demonstrate image quality (please take into consideration the compression of the files to post online). The picture of the sign shows nice round bokeh balls in the background; I saw no odd shapes. The wooded path photos are taken at f2, so the depth of field is narrow and only a small portion of the pictures will be in focus, but the rending and effect I got were very nice for such an inexpensive lens. Overall, it is an excellent choice at this price point.

I've been slowly replacing my old Nikon DX F-mount lenses with Z-mount full frame equivalents. This is an affordable replacement that's just slightly wider than a 35mm DX lens. The packaging fully protects the lens with foam on all sides and comes with front/rear caps and hood. The lens is light without feeling so light that feels cheap. It mounted smoothly and was recognized by the camera without issues. The autofocus is fast and nearly silent. It still takes some adjustment to how quiet these mirrorless cameras are after using the old system for so long. The shallow depth of field and clean bokeh allows the subject to be captured without distractions.

It is much more than I was expecting for the price, good image quality throughout the frame and smooth bokeh. It is a nice build, integrates well into my z5 which detects all the feedback from the lens (focus switch, lens id for profile correction in post). Autofocus works very well even in low light conditions, no significant vignetting or distorsion. Slight breathing. I'm really surprised about the quality/price ratio.

Since I recently upgraded to a full frame Z camera I am upgrading lenses too. This Meike 35mm f2 autofocus lens is inexpensive and the specs look good. It arrived a day early. Meike packs their lenses well in foam and this lens arrived in perfect condition. It came with two lens caps and a hood. It has a USB port for firmware updates, a great feature. You do not need a separate dock like some lenses have to have. This lens is lightweight and mounted fine, firm but not hard. There is a focus ring and a switch AF/MF so you can disable autofocus if you need to. The autofocus is fast and accurate.I shoot wildlife and macros a lot so one thing I wanted to test is how it would work with extension rings. It did great, as you can see in the sample images. Since a nice f2 is good for low light, and for bokeh, I first tried some night shots. The starburst around bright lights is sweet. Since 35mm isn't wide, I took several images and stitched them into a detailed panorama. Of course I took photos while walking my dog. This lens is suitable for several different photographic specialties as well as general photography. It's good quality and works well.
