This lens is a fantastic, budget-friendly option! It’s lightweight, compact, and produces sharp images with beautiful bokeh. The manual focus is smooth and easy to master, making it great for portraits, street photography, and creative shots. The build quality feels solid, and the overall performance far exceeds its price. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to add a versatile prime lens to their kit!

A True Gem of the Jem, Much More Than Just a Sweet Deal. Quality speaks for itself. The Optical quality is Awesome and so is the Plastic and build quality. It has weather sealing at rear, Great Boken, USB-C port for future firmware updates and Light weight. The price point you can Buy 3 of Meike's lenses for the price of 1 Nikon lens. The At/M button seems as solid as Nikon's quality, It has a focusing ring and Superb lens. I have used the Meike's older version lens for Nikon F mount as well, that lens was also great minus the quiet motor and weather sealing and USB-C port. This new version is a game changer as far as the auto focus is concerned and also the focusing motor is so quiet. I can't believe that why I didn't brought the Nikon Z mount Meike's lens before and instead of buying a Nikon 40 mm. This Meike's 35mm F2 lens is as good as Nikon's 40mm F2.You will not be disappointed if you choose to buy this lens, buy with confidence, THIS IS MUCH MORE THAN AN EXCELLENT QUALITY LENS. I wish they come up soon with a 24-70 F2.8 like the Nikon. I will buy every Meike's lens they will make for Nikon Z mount.I have a Youtube channel and I hope to make a video review of this lens coming January 2025I can't be more Happier to get this as a Christmas Present for myself. A big Thanks to Meike's team who build this and other Awesome lens at affordable price. Now this is my go to lens for street photography.

Solid lens even at double the price!+ Very very light (58mm filter thread),+ Fast, silent and accurate focus, no issues tracking or focusing in the dark (on a Z9)+ Sharp image; pleasant foreground and background bokeh+ USB C port in the mount- Only weathersealed at the rear gasket- Minimum Focus Distance is 45cm (bit far from the standard 35cm)- Minimal focus breathing near to far (I'm spoilt by S glass)Interestingly, even with a very bright white light, I couldnt find a single spot of factory dust in my copy (YMMV). I have had 3x Nikkor Z 85S lenses all with factory dust in them and they cost 8-10X more!

The plastic feel of the lens didn't give me any cause for concern and with some regular day to day use the lens should last some time.Handling wise is fine too, and the af/mf switch is ok and the manual focus ring does it's job too.Face tracking and autofocus in general is ok on my A7III.Sharpness is excellent wide open from f2, but the extreme edge of the frame does suffer until you stop down a bit. Colour Rendering is not bad and Contrast is good. Vignetting is fairly well controlled from wide open but flare is present wide open. Chromatic Aberration is very minimal though.F5.6 sees the best performance across the frame and diffraction sets in around f16.Bokeh is one of the highlights for me with the image quality of this lens. Zoom in on the specular highlights and you'll see they're not perfect but overall I like the out of focus look from this lens. The minimum focusing distance is a bit limiting but it performs fine at its closest. At this price, this is a very useable lens and a worthy budget buy.

At this price point, this 35mm delivers incredible value. It punches well above its weight, offering features and image quality typically found in much more expensive lenses.Being lightweight this lens is a perfect companion for my Z8. Its compact design makes it easy to carry around for street, landscape, or portrait photography, all without weighing down your bag.The F2.0 aperture is bright enough to create stunning bokeh and perform well in low-light conditions. Image sharpness is impressive across the frame, and the colors it renders are vibrant and true-to-life. The STM stepping motor ensures smooth and nearly silent autofocus, making it ideal for both photography and videography.

Is it the sharpest 35, no but it is more than sharp enough and can often be had brand new on sale for under $200 and at that price it is a steal. Works great for photo and video. Auto focus works great. The lens does make some noise when focusing for photo but for video it is silent and smooth. Value for money, it is hard to beat.

This is my third Meike lens. I had their 85mm when I had a DSLR and now have added two of their Nikon mirrorless lenses. They are all great! I’m a hobbyist photographer and want to keep my equipment quality high, but prices low. This is difficult to do, but Meike has filled an important void in the market. Their lenses are all around high quality.I’m very pleased overall with this lens—the 35mm f/2.0 prime lens. It has a great build quality, autofocus speed, and bokeh.Build Quality: The build quality is excellent! The lens body is made primarily of plastic, but does not feel cheap at all. It’s light and easy to carry around my neck. It’s great for street photography, including at night. The lens looks modern and has some cool red accents.Autofocus: The focus is quick and snappy. It works perfectly on both of my mirrorless cameras (Nikon Z6ii and Z30). It works well for actions shot, if you’re closer to the subject. It’s a prime lens, so you have to zoom in and out with your feet. :) It integrates seamlessly with Nikon’s system and operates just as my Nikkor lenses in terms of focus. It’s easy to switch to manual focus with the switch on the side.Bokeh: Bokeh is fantastic! Portraits with this 35mm f/2.0 lens have been fantastic. The bokeh is very creamy and helps highlight the subject. I sometimes shoot portraits on the street or in other places where the background can be a bit distracting. This lens helps me isolate the person to effectively eliminate any distractions in the background. If you're looking for a great alternative to the Nikon NIKKKOR 35mm f/1.8 S, get this! It is almost $600 cheaper and works wonderfully. If you’re a pixel peeper, you’re probably not considering this lens. If you love to take great photos, but have a career outside of photography, this is a great lens to get. The quality is amazing and the price of the Meike lenses are just right to help me transition all of my lenses to Z mount. I plan to take a look at their 85mm Nikon Z mount lens in the future.
