I've tried for stick welding which produce more spatter but didn't pass throughout. Excelent product

I got some ordered as I needed some quick for a job. They held up to plasma cutting and grinding (Aluminum) so far. For the cost they’re great to have to prevent a fire or item being burned.

I like how durable they are, how flexible they are, they aren’t too heavy. They handle the heat from most spatter pretty well, but I’ve had a few occasions where spatter is burning straight through within a couple of seconds. So I’ve used the two of them together, laying one out completely unfolded and then folding the other 2-4 times to make a dense layer in critical areas where I don’t want spatter to get through. Overall good blankets, they’re very flexible and can be folded into gaps and cracks or slid underneath bars with little to no clearance, giving them great functionality. One thing, I recently nicked a blanket with an angle grinder and it shot out fiberglass shards(I think they’re made of fiberglass) the fibers ended up working their way into my welding gloves and itching up my arms.

I really like to use my smoker during the winter. In the past I had an insulated box that I put around my smoker. This year however I upgraded to a pellet smoker and decided that I needed something else. This blanket helps keep the smoker at a consistent temperature and reduces the amount of pellets I go through.

These are a heavy-weight blanket that are at a great price. Used them to protect floors on a residential, metal grinding project. The grinding had to be done “in place” and these worked like a charm. Price was exceptional for my scope of work.
