I had my old welding blanket for years. I'd done many projects with it. I went to use it a bit ago and found that a rat has snuck into the garage and chewed through it to make a home. Time for a new blanket so I ordered these.They are much larger than I was expecting, which isn't a bad thing, of course. I was able to place one behind some copper plumbing I needed to solder and it performed flawlessly. Now with a second one as backup I don't need to worry about those pesky rats.

Picked these up as I saw myself doing some copper pipe soldering work in the not-too-distant future and didn't fancy burning my dwelling down!!! Besides pipe work, I can see myself using these for welding projects of sensitive items and even using it under a camp stove to protect from heat/sparks/flame. Safety should never be third but ALWAYS FIRST!!!
