Unfortunately the product didn't fit our needs and we ended up sending back. Was dissatisfied that the refund was issued in a Amazon gift card vrs the card it was originally bought on.

Welding blanket used to protect wiring during welding nearby. Sparks caught this on fire while other styles provided protection.

I thought I would need multiple layers, but that was NOT needed . The pipes I soldered was a 1in copper 2.5in from the PVC siding, no problem

Unlike fire resistant paper, this offers true welding slag & grinding sparks protection!

I built a welding stand for my shop. It is only about 18 inches square and is mounted on a wooden storage cabinet that contains all my welding accessories. I carefully cut and fit the blanket material around the cabinet and stapled the stuff to the cabinet. I have no exposed wood and even the door opening is sealed when the door is closed. This protects the wooden cabinet from sparks from my plasma cutter as well as sparks and splatter from the flux core welder. Since I do wood working in this shop as well, I run the shop vac over the welding blanket before welding to insure I haven't coated the blanket with a flammable coating of saw dust. So far, it is working just fine!
