I bought this as felt for home-made alcohol stoves. It does the job but can suffer from shrinkage and a wire mesh cover is preferable.

Excellent product for an unusual use. I needed something to protect the edge of my laminate counter top from heat transfer when I am canning. I slide this between my stove and counter top edge, put a silicone mat on top and my counter top gets warm but not hot enough to harm it.

I would say it is over 1/8 of an inch thick, or about 4mm. It is easy to cut but make sure your scissors are sharp if you don't want fuzzy frayed cuts.I made a few alcohol stoves using Altoids tins and they worked really great. They seem to make the burn more efficient, making it last longer and therefore using less alcohol per minute.There was zero noriceable damage to the material after repeated burning. This stuff is the real deal.Next up somecat food stoves, I like them better because in addition to burning cleanly like these ones, they support your pot, which these do not.Fair price for a generous supply, it is a little over the stated 20 by 30 inches. Nice.

This blanket is a little better quality than some others I have. It's a good size and easy to position. I haven't really torture tested this one yet, but so far I'm pleased.I use this as one of my options for welding protection. In certain circumstances you really can't be too careful when welding. This is easy to position where you want it and so far it's done it's job perfectly.The material used is definitly more durable than some other cheaper welding blankets that I have. This one should hold up for a pretty long period of time if used properly. I can't say it's good for up to 1800° like it claims, but it's worked fine for me so far.The price is fair and I wouldn't hesitate to get more of these. This welding blanket is a good addition to any set of welding equipment. Based off my experience I would recommend it.

The two welding blankets are working out well. We bought them to help create a heat barrier. We hung them over the fireplace screen to kep the heat away from the furniture. Works like a charm.

I grill year round and it’s currently below zero at my house. With this product on top of my grill, it maintains temperature in subzero temps. What a great product.
