Did not have to replace receiver in ceiling fan (yay!). Just set dip switches to same as old unit and done. Easy peasy.

I replaced an old fan controller with this one. Works fine upon power up: just make sure the drip switches match and your set . The light is on or off; wish it was dimmable but I rarely use the light switch . The fan low setting is slightly faster than my other fans but is fine . I’d buy this again if I needed one .

I purchased this to replace the remote for my Harbor Breeze which failed after 7 years. The wall unit only requires 2 wires, AC hot and switched hot to the fan. My older homie has no grounds so that wire was left unconnected. This unit does not dim the lights.

Many fans these days only include a wireless remote. These can easily be misplaced. I prefer a wall mounted permanent solution. A companion remote is nice, but a permanent solution is the way to go. Particularly in rental properties. I have yet to find a fan this isn't compatible with. They work great and this new model looks great too. Highly recommend.

The light button on my old Harbor Breeze wall unit UC-9050T stopped working after 9 years. I have a flush mount ceiling fan and I didn't want to bother with replacing the receiver in the fan canopy. This product is a no-brand name, no label, and has both the wall unit and the receiver, as well as a matching wall cover plate. I replaced only the wall unit and it works with the old receiver. However, the light switch does not dim. In fairness, I don't remember if the old Harbor Breeze UC-9050T dimmed the light either, since I never used it in my study. Finally, the original Harbor Breeze UC-9050T had 5 dip switches and this unit has only 4. All 5 of mine were ON except #1, just FYI. I'm happy with my solution for the money.

I've had it for a good while, but just now got around to actually putting it up. The fan in my wife's office only had a remote. That was ok, but the only way to control the light and fan speed was with the remote, so you had to be sure to either leave it on the setting you want or keep the remote somewhere near the door when you left the room. So I swapped out the receiver and wall switch with this. The old remote doesn't work because it was a different brand, but that's ok. The only small issue I've seen with it so far is that it makes a fairly loud click when the fan changes speed. It didn't do that before, so I don't know what's causing it now. It does change speed, though, so I'll live with the click.

Ordered this Universal Ceiling Fan Remote Control, Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kit as it gets old running extra wires to be able to control both a light and fan in remodel scenarios. First the gripes, the remote receiver is very large, it may not fit in most fan housings you will need a larger housing to fit this product. Second it is not a smart device, the listing says its a SMART device and the package mentions alexa. This is a remote switch and has no wifi or smart home integration capabilities. It uses radio to talk to a receiver that is then wired into the fan leads and allows a standard fan rated ceiling box to allow control of a fans features, multiple speeds, and dimming but there is not a reverse button. ETL listed and about the same price as the brand name products, but the seller Humpptom which is just close enough to Hampton to be confusing.. says it is produced by the OEM manufacturer and it does look just like the oem control kits I have used in the past. I think it could be cheaper.
