HOW TO USE
- This is the remote control for the ceiling fan. They should match the switches on the transmitter inside the ceiling fan.
- Just remember to set the 4 dip switches inside the battery compartment(they are kinda hidden behind the slot for the battery itself).
- Look inside the old remote with the battery cover off, there is a series of "DIP" switches(4) .
- Slide the switches in the new remote to match the same pattern as the old remote. Replace the battery in the new remote and things should work.
- There are 16 different frequencies for the Harbor Breeze fans, so you would have to play with the combinations. Here are the frequency list:(0 is down and 1 is up) 0000, 0001, 0010, 0100, 0110, 0101, 0011, 0111, 1111, 1110, 1101, 1011, 1001, 1010, 1100, 1000
Set different PIN code if control multiple ceiling fans
NOTE: If you control multiple ceiling fans in the house, please check the PIN code settings are different between these, or it may let transmitter next door or your neibourhood's remote activates this ceiling fan in your other rooms. This may cause the fan turning on strangely while you are not at home.

Works as an exact replacement for the original remote. My fans are old enough not to be able to reverse direction from the remote, but the rest of the buttons, and the DIP switch settings, are a 1 for 1 replacement.

I don’t often leave a review, but I just had to for this product! The description made it seem like it was the perfect replacement for my Hampton Bay ceiling fan remote. But Amazon stated this item was often returned. I took a chance, and I couldn’t be happier that I did! It took less than five minutes to set it up. I took the new battery from my old remote (I thought the battery was the issue), changed the code to match the old remote by following the included instructions, and voilà! I could turn the ceiling fan on and off, slow, moderate, or fast with just the touch of a button. Highly recommend!!

The remote only works when it wants to. I set it to connect with fan but it’s a hassle to get it to work. I have to mess with the battery and the buttons just to get it to do one function. Very frustrating.

I got this Hampton Bay compatible ceiling fan remote to replace a broken one. It worked perfectly without having to change any of the dip settings that are found inside the battery compartment. We ordered this as a replacement for a controller for a fan we installed twenty five years ago. It works perfectly. Hopefully it will last as long as the original. It's perfectly sized to fit in the palm of your hand. The original had a long battery life so I expect this will as well. Great value for the money. Very pleased with this purchase.
