I have being looking for my older bathroom fan Broan Model 669 with no luck finding a replacement. I took the chance to order this universal exhaust vent fan and I’m so glad that I ordered this product. It’s the right size and most importantly it works!!!! Easy to install, runs very quiet .

It stopped working in roughtly 2 weeks. I procrastinated on putting it in. So I think we used it a couple of weeks. Then it would not run. The lights would dim when flipping it on and the fan would not spin. A bad capacitor is likely the issue. In any event, it is headed back.

The times are always a'changing. For some reason, the standard enclosure size for bathroom vent fans has changed. This fan allows me to keep the old unit working, so I don't need to make a larger hole in my bathroom ceiling. Replacement is straightforward.

Great motor and fan. Very quiet and it works well. Oh nuts, It didn't come with mounting nuts. So I went to the hardware store and bought a pack of 12. I now have enough nutskies to last a lifetime. Woot woot. Now I got nuts. Hello. 😊 Yup. Great value for the money.

These points are about incompatibility with our specific device, not necessarily relevant to your case:1) It was clear from the photos in the listing that the bolts holding the motor together go in a different direction from those of the motor being replaced. It was possible to reverse them, though the motor is then held together only when mounted on the fan cage, because of the match of threads in the casing.2) The power cord is apparently made for a situation in which the motor is closer to the outlet than in our case, so it was necessary to splice in some (AWG 16) wires to add length. If you are comfortable soldering and heat shrinking it should be fine if you encounter this.3)The nuts that mount the motor (with those bolts mentioned above are of a different size from those of the retiring motor, so you may need to determine the thread size and pitch to match new nuts if this is your circumstance. New nuts were not provided. If the mounting location on your device is different from what was expected for this motor, you might want to check the rotation direction to make sure the fan will be pulling air in instead of pushing it into the room. This motor spins clockwise when one is looking at the open end of the shaft. With the above considerations accommodated, the fan runs so quietly it was not clear that it was active until it was put in the ceiling, where resonance with the surrounding structure and the air flow make reassuring sounds that confirm it is on.If you are okay with making some modifications that may be needed (or may not, depending on your situation), this is a good choice - that is, good value for money.
