This fan melted in the housing luck it did not catch fire. I don’t think I would buy this for safety reasons. I have picture of it showing the melted fan blades.

Had to take apart and reverse the mechanical portion of the unit. It will now work fine.I am happy to have found this unit.

For those looking for something quiet and economical to replace, this is it. If your looking for something more high powered and better air flow, look elsewhere. The install is pretty straightforward for the average DIY’er; one thing I do recommend. For the air box, after cleaning it. Hit it with some rustproof paint since Its going to be sucking up moisture. Also stainless steel bolts/nuts/screws aren’t a bad idea.

I was looking for a new motor to install on my bathroom vent and this worked perfectly. Face plates were backwards. Easy Fix. Watch YouTube. It was the same one as Exactly like the one that was installed that I was looking for. Took a doodoo with sound of a new exhaust fan motor right after I was done, ahhhhh. Somehow as it knew.

This fan and motor set is an affordable replacement part. My existing ones (I had three) were all Broan-Nutone Model 688-H/663-H and these were almost identical to them. I took off one star because the motors came with the mounting studs facing the opposite direction. It wasn't a big deal, I just had to remove the two motor screws and fit them through the opposite way in order to get the motor to mount correctly. The fan blades are cheap plastic, but my originals were exactly the same. Once in place, they all ran fine and were noticeably quieter than my existing fans which were about 30 years old and quite noisy. My only criticism is that there should be some simple mounting instructions; there are no instructions in the box at all. Other than that, it fit well and did what it was supposed to do.
