We used these for a school project where the students made "scribble bots" by powering this motor taped to the side of a cup. There was an eccentric weight on the motor that causes the cup to jump around. The wires broke off on nearly EVERY motor, and I needed to solder them back on during class. However, there is a preventative solution. Before class, use a lot of hot glue to "seal" the fragile ends of the wire to the body of the motor. After that, none of the wires broke off.One motor did fall apart, but I will write that off as children being rough.

We used these in a virtual class by Mark Rober, they were on the suggest supply list. Was really glad we bought them because we used them in two of our builds. The best being a RC robot made from a soda can we named Bart! Bart had one of these motors on his rear axle and we were able to control it with a joystick and an Arduino board. Not only were we able to control the start and stop of the motor, but also its speed, which was important! Bart was able to color beautiful pictures because of this motor!

These are your typical runcunk style motors that happily perform wonderfully on 3 VDC. Do not attempt to use them on AC as they will just oscillate and burn up. You can build a small waterwheel generator with them to power led lights at night:)

Cheaply constructed. The wires are loose and are only good for about one use. Of the 18 (3 pkg) I purchased, only 11 actually worked. This was after an hour of re-wiring the motors to the battery holders (purchased separately) and securing with electrical tape. Even then, they didn’t work all the time abs kept shorting out. It was a severe disappointment to my students who were trying to construct simple robots.
