Fit good, fan is very quiet, vibration free, only watch out is sharp edges on metal frame, directions could be a little better

Yes the fan did touch the box top as others stated. Simply bend the 2 tabs down slightly and insert a rubber washer between the fan plate and box at the locking screw. This will provide more than enough clearance for the blade to spin freely and unobstructed. So far the unit has exceeded my performance expectations.

My bathroom fan recently went out, and since it was from 1995, I had a difficult time finding the replacement part. I wanted to avoid cutting out my ceiling, and what I found at Home Depot didn’t fit. It seems Nutone was acquired after this product was made, making it difficult to find the part. I was really hoping this random search I did that found this Amazon listing worked, and thankfully it did and perfectly.Instructions were clear, and it was an ease to install. The only thing I had to do was zip tie the cord, as it was long and I didn’t want it to just rest on the fan grill. Also, I zip tied up what seems to be a relay.I’ll be ordering 2 more for my other bathroom.Update: upon ordering 2 more, one had a metal nut inside the box, which came off during shipping. I realized there was a bolt that seemed to be meant for the relay to go on and the nut to hold in place. This is what I did now and found there’s no need for zip ties.

I have a Nutone model 8663RP "B" unit. This product fit and was installed in a few minutes. The motor is more quiet than the original. I will edit this if it acts up but so far it's working great!It would have been well over $130 for either replacement parts or a whole new same unit. Since I did not want to have to go into the attic and cut a new opening in the bathroom ceiling for a newer model, this was great. it installs on the bathroom side and plugged right it. :)

Direct fit and at 2.5 sonnes it much quieter than the original (3.5 sonnes). You can't even hear it with the shower running
