This watercolor paper is a fantastic choice for students, artists, and hobbyists alike, offering durability and versatility for a range of creative projects. The paper is excellent for watercolor painting, sketching, and creating sample artwork. Its texture holds colors beautifully, preventing over-absorption and allowing pigments to float for a vibrant finish. Whether you're making watercolor cards, sketchbooks, or testing brushes and paints, this paper delivers consistently great results. With 60 sheets per pad, it’s a great value, giving you the freedom to experiment without hesitation. The off-white tone might raise an eyebrow initially, but it doesn’t interfere with the painting process. The surface is forgiving, enabling techniques like color lifting, though a gentle touch is recommended to avoid pilling. The size is slightly unconventional, but with simple adjustments, like framing or matting, it works seamlessly for finished pieces. The paper's durability stands out, with minimal wrinkling under water-heavy techniques. It even adapts well to other mediums, including acrylics, especially when prepped with gesso. The ease of tearing sheets and the wrinkle-free packaging make it convenient and enjoyable to use. Whether you’re a beginner exploring watercolors or an experienced artist creating framed masterpieces, this paper balances quality and affordability perfectly. Highly recommended for all your artistic needs!

We use this paper in our school. It’s a good standard watercolour paper. Thick enough and has enough texture.

I am getting back into the watercolor painting hobby (possibly as a paid artist, but that's TBD). From everything I've read, the two biggest things that make a big difference in the quality of your work are good paints and good paper. I had ordered a good paint set from Amazon along with this order and decided on this reasonably-priced paper block. At fifteen dollars for fifty sheets, it worked out to about thirty cents per page -- great for practice work. I'm not sure if this is hot-pressed or cold-pressed, but the paper feels fairly smooth, not bumpy or rough, so I'm going to guess it's hot-pressed. Still, it's quite good quality. The paper is thick, almost as thick as cardstock. Paints dry within about ten minutes, with plenty of time to do color blending with watercolor. There is a little bit of warping after drying, but nowhere near as much as you would see with cheaper, lighter paper. For beginners and students, this is more than good enough. I'm very happy with the results I'm seeing so far. Highly recommended!

I have used many brands of watercolor paper - fabriano, arches, canson. I al amazed at the quality of this paper! It is heavy, sturdy and feels like cold pressed. I like cold pressed paper. Bought it for an elementary school class but I am using it for my projects as well. So shocked by the value and quality of this paper. Highly recommend.

Great with my expensive watercolor set I don’t know if it is the cheaper paint that might cause problems for others but mine works great! When I put water on it started getting bumpy and wrinkly (like all the stupid watercolor paper) so I was hesitant but it dryed beautifully, started to scratch off a little if I rubbed the paintbrush to much in an area but only when soaking wet and typically you wouldn’t rub in professional watercolor so great for pros

I like this paper. I think this is good enough and less expansive for beginners like me. It is a thick paper (300 gsm), so smooth (they don't say if it cold or hot press) but for practicing it's ok. The paper isn't white (see 1st picture On the left the Ucreate paper beside a white sheet. It is 9 x12'' so I've cut them all in half to make it easier for traveling. In picture no 2 I have 42 half sheets of paper.

Amazing and thick paper! I use watery colors so when you use normal colors it goes through the paper. So it was amazing to find paper that works! And amazing paper for the cheap price. Easy to use and everything. Comes with a lot of paper for the price. It has been at least 5 months and still hasn’t ran out of water color! Amazing product recommendation for beginners and masters. Works with any paint!

Great value for watercolor paper! My daughters experimented drawing with Crayola markers first, and then using the Ohulu watercolor brush pens. The paper held up wonderfully and the kids had hours of fun! A few days of sitting in the sun and there is no fading or anything on their art. I also tried out my Tombow brush pens (no signs of the tip fraying after a handful of pieces done on this paper) with Ohulu water brush pens and I love how it turned out. I myself am a beginner with watercoloring, but, compared to some prices for less sheets of the same weighted paper, I consider this a great value!

Also shown: Grafix Incredible Masking Fluid, Arteza 36 count watercolor paletteI'm a fan of watercolor blocks, but arches 9"x12" are cost prohibitive for me. I took this pack and, using Elmer's glue, sealed it into a block. It worked beautifully! While doing wet on wet application the sheet lifted a little in the center, but not nearly as much as the arches hot press does. It flattened when it dried and held the color beautifully. For the low price I was concerned about quality, but not anymore. I'll also try my copic markers to see how this paper performs.EDIT 3/29/19 - I tested my copic markers and found that the ink does not feather at all, nor does it bleed through. The color ghosts a little on the backside, however it does not actually penetrate the paper. I think this will be by go-to for all hand lettering and painting!

I'm not a professional artist but do a lot of painting with my kids. I found this paper to be quite thick with a good texture, perfect for their watercolor and other painting. Keep in mind that small children like to SOAK the paper with water and paint and this paper held up very nicely and dried flat without anything special being done to it. It's also a nice size for larger art project and I also cut it in half for the kids to try out some techniques and ended up making a few of those into cards.
