I use this paper for watercolour and coloured pencil projects. I prefer it over any other…. And it’s packaged better than the others, usually. I can’t work with paper that arrives with dented corners…. Not sellable

Fabriano Studio Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper pad is outstanding! Its smooth surface is perfect for fine details and precision work, while still handling washes beautifully. The paper is durable, absorbs pigment well.I have used some of this pad to assemble my own journals.

I use this watercolor paper for card.fronts when I am using watercolor markers. I love than it has a smooth texture and isn't overly thick. It will still hold a good amount of water.

This is the first hot pressed paper I've tried, normally I use cold pressed, and I'm blown away by the performance. It handles water so nicely, you can really go hard with the water and it doesn't warp like the cold pressed does, very minimal if any. It's so smooth to paint on, doing line work is like a dream. It's thinner than cold pressed, and the colors look amazing on it.It did get shipped with a few of the corners bent, but not as much as other people Said in their reviews, so I'm grateful for that. I will definitely repurchase. Highly recommend for people who use Gouache or watercolor.

This is not my first time purchasing Fabriano Hot Press Watercolor paper. I had never heard of hot press until I saw a crafter using it in a video. I love to do watercolor and had always used the super good cold press paper, but sometimes if I used a stamp I had to stamp it up to 4 times to get a good impression. With hot press paper you just stamp once and then watercolor. The paper can take quite a bit of paint and water which surprised me. It is also amazing for ink blending. I take my finished projects and turn them into cards. This paper also cuts very easily with my paper trimmer. This is the ‘good stuff’ and is worth the price for me. After putting the work in on a project I dont want it to just be ‘OK’. I want it to look spectacular and that is what this paper gives me. I will keep purchasing this from Amazon as it is a good price and quality paper. I wish people had told me long ago that ‘Paper Matters’!! Because it does.

I've been through the Arche's and other pricier paper, as well as much less expensive, economy paper, and I keep coming back to this one. It's hot press surface works very well for pen and ink (I use fountain and dip pens) and the paper takes light to medium washes quite nicely. The colors look good. The reasonable price keeps me from being overly-precious while I work. It's a reliable paper, that I am planning to happily stick with, at least until something even better comes along.

Why did I wait to get this? It feels wonderful under a dip pen with a drawing nib. It takes the ink and shred if you push to hard or work the nib back and forth. Quick sketch using: Brause Steno nib. Dr. PH Martin’s iridescent inks and Daler Rowney FW brown ink.

I've used this paper for several years and love it's weight and coloring. I know it's not technically a professional grade watercolor, but I love the ability I have to lift days and weeks old color off the paper without problems or pilling the paper. Could not recommend this paper more to someone looking for a hot press (smooth) paper that has minimal buckling. This would be a five star review except the package showed up damaged as the pictures show. The bag it was shipped in (not the most protective to begin with and I'm very surprised that my corners aren't damaged from that alone) showed no signs of the damage that happened to the front of the larger of the two pads I ordered. So I'm left to assume it looked like that when it was packaged which is a little disappointing. The only page that I won't be able to use is the top one and I decided it was worth the hassle of returning to potentially get a more damaged pad.
