I couldn’t be happier with this folding hitch ski rack! It’s incredibly sturdy, holds my skis securely, and makes loading and unloading a breeze. The folding feature is a game-changer—it tucks away nicely when not in use, making parking and storage hassle-free. Installation was straightforward, and the build quality feels solid and durable. Even on bumpy roads, everything stays in place without rattling. If you’re looking for a reliable and space-saving ski rack, this one is a fantastic choice! Highly recommend.

It really has only one use to store skis horizontally. The build is sound. It looks good. It fits the typical 2 inch rear hitch. Easy to install.

The TOPOWN ski rack is very sturdy and we've taken it with us for two ski trips, it had worked for us both times but I am unlikely to use it except when I have a full car that I physically cannot fit my skis into anymore. The reason is the extra amount of time/work I need to spend using the straps to tie the skis down, especially painful when you just finished and want to get in the car ASAP.I've used other racks where I had to strap things tight too, but that's like a precautionary step for extra protection, on the TOPOWN one however if you don't strap it you will loose your ski. The up side to this is that it is much cheaper option and it does work if you're willing to spend the effort. This is a hesitant 4 stars because the product does to do what it describes itself to do, but you are trading convenience for the price tag.

This was a total dud. As other reviewers have pointed out, it is very poorly designed and unstable. Seems that it was designed for another purpose—not skis. It was a scary ride up the mountain with this thing! Do not recommend.

This is a quality, well-built ski rack. I put it together in less than 15 minutes!I was getting tired of jamming my skis into the back of my SUV as it was causing seat damage, more specifically from my edges rubbing while driving. I have a short drive to the mountain, and I didn't want to install and remove a roof rail ski rack or leave a noisy Thule box on during ski season. I also wanted a solution to keep the snow and ice out of my interior at the end of the day. Ideally, I wanted to solution that I can put on quickly in the AM and take off when it was no longer needed (weekend-only skier) and I've found it. The rack attached to my MB hitch in 3 seconds and is held securely by the hitch pin. The skis are held securely by the included tie down strap. All the components strongly built and connected with sturdy hardware. I have had zero complaints so far. Another thing is that the rack can possibly hold 6-8 pairs of skis depending on how wide they are (I've only tried three so far) and the spacing allow you to open the rear hatch without ski interference. Truthfully, I cannot be happier. The price was reasonable as well, and I can now keep my interior in tip top shape.

Not a great solution for skis. We traveled with two pair of skis that didn’t fit in the car so we bought this rack. It seemed like it would work but looks were deceiving. We had to put the skis in tails down, and it was nearly impossible to secure them enough. The cutouts are way, way too wide for skis and the tie down system frankly does not work. 2/3 of the ski was above the top of the rack and the two thin little cinch straps are pretty much useless. Even with a half dozen bungee cords, the included straps, and a few strings the skis were swinging back and forth the whole way to the mountains. It was the furthest thing from secure and I was constantly worried that the skis would fall off the rack. Can’t speak for boards, maybe they’d be better since the cutouts are so wide, but it’s not a good rack for skis.If you’re going to buy a ski rack, look for a brand name with proven quality, or at the very least, for a rack with a securing system that actually holds the skis in one place firmly. This rack is neither of those.

The installation process is very simple. Just plug it into the rear hook without any complicated tools. It supports the storage of 4 pairs of skis and has an adjustable function to adapt to skis of different sizes. It is a blessing for ski enthusiasts. The folding design is also a highlight. It can be quickly folded and put away after use, which does not take up too much space and is very convenient for daily storage. The tilt function is very practical. Even after loading the skis, you can easily tilt the rack to open the trunk to take other items, avoiding a lot of unnecessary trouble. The seat belt adjustment is a bit cumbersome. It would be more convenient if it could be designed to be buckled faster.

I ordered this for when we have multiple people going skiing at the same time. It took about 30 minutes total to get it all put together and attached to the vehicle. It's well built and solid. The coating should resist rust - assuming it's going to spend some time getting snow and water kicked up on it while driving. It holds the skis well an doesn't cause any damage or black marks. Strapping the skis down kept them from moving too much during the 1.5 hour drive.
