Me sirvió mucho porque tenía un sensor CMOS que pude convertir a mi propia cámara de astro fotografía, se enroscó perfecto y la inclusión del filtro IR completó la funcionalidad.

This is a great buy. It includes both the UV-IR filter and the 1-1/4 inch adapter for the telescope eye piece tube. When the camera is screwed onto the adapter, the UV / IR filter completely seals the camera sensing element from dust and damage. I didn't know that it includes the adapter until I received it. The description should read UV / IR filter with adapter from 12 mm to 1-1/4 inch.

I've adapted several different webcams with this unit to go on a reflector telescope. Figuring out how to disassemble the webcam is usually the hardest part! If you are lucky, the lens will just screw off, and the adapter screws right in place. Check to see how the old IR filter is mounted; so far all the ones I've seen are attached to the bottom of the lens. While you have the webcam opened up, consider cutting or blacking out the little LED which lights up when the unit is active - best to eliminate any sources of extraneous light. Ran a couple of quick tests, and this adapter works great!

Great item. Didn't know it existed. Fit as perfect as the original lens

This whole project has turned into a series of unfortunate events, with this being just about the only good part. The tube is of high quality and has put up with my constant fiddling without too much trouble. I haven't used the UV/IR filter for its intended use yet, but it seems decent enough. Eventually, I will make this project work.

UPDATE: I was wrong--this WAS a "fulfilled by Amazon" purchase, so I did return it for a completely hassle-free full refund, including return shipping..-----------------------------------This is a nice looking product, but it is NOT the size it's claimed to be. The filter thread is not 1.25 inches; it's 1.12 inches. Before I ordered it I asked (in the Customer Questions & Answers section) about the contradictory information on the product page. One of the photos shows the outside diameter of the metal ring the filter's mounted in as being 22.65 mm, which is 0.89 inch, nowhere near the 1.25 inches claimed for the thread, which is even smaller than the outside diameter. The manufacturer didn't bother to answer the question, but I ordered it anyway.Because what I got is not either the 1.25 inches claimed in the description or the 0.89 inches shown in the photograph, I could have returned it; but since it wasn't a "fulfilled by Amazon" purchase, it wasn't worth hassling with an unknown vendor. I'm writing this only in case anyone out there needs a 1.12 inch UV/IR-cut filter. This is it.
