This mailbox is very durable on our building site. Gravel road makes our black one super dusty, but hoses off back to looking new. Easy to install, but not sure you want to waste the money to buy an 8-ft post, when a 6-ft one still has waste to cut off. Functions perfectly. Looks nice. Rather industrial. We may leave this inside the wood one we want to build when house is done. Nice mailbox!

I got this to replace a similar mailbox and it's worked out great. The old one is similar to this one and lasted for years. I hope this one performs the same. Super easy to assemble and put up. Looks nice on the curb.

It’s funny that I found this mailbox. I bought my house in 2016 and this mailbox was here and it was a different color brown. I thought it was just from the sun fading. I came home one day and noticed my neighbor had my exact mailbox, but it looks so much nicer because the brown didn’t have well water that has sprayed over it since before I bought the house. I went with black this time with the gray door which I think looks good and makes the house look good.Finding good reflective lettering that’s got good 3M stick tape backing that won’t crack or come off it very hard to find.Good Mailbox though. Bigger than most mailboxes, but was a very easy replacement for me. If you already have a 4 x 4 in the ground, it should take you five minutes and you’re done.Recommended. Love the double layered material so that if you get a hole somewhere, it’s still can’t reach inside the mailbox.

This is probably the best brand of mailbox out there. Well made. Doesn't fade much if any. We didn't even put it out yet (but my parents have one for years and it's fine) and the wife received a little package in it if ya know what I mean ;). Go with this brand. It won't disappoint.

I bought this mailbox to replace the one I had for over 20 years. At first I was worried that as a woman it would be hard to install by myself. But it was quite simple. I bought a 4" x 4" at the hardware store (had them cut it for me). Bought a bag of ready made cement and mixed with water. The longest process was to dig the hole. The mailbox was very easy to put together with a screwdriver and a socket wrench. It seems very sturdy and has plenty of room inside for small boxes. This was a great purchase.

Looks good and sturdy and a good size for small packages and newspapers as well as mail. Now to see if it'll pass the snow plow test this winter.

This is one of the easiest and most attractive mail boxes I've used. It is heavy plastic/vinyl and comes with everything you need to install, except the 4x4 post that is required. If you are replacing a mailbox that uses a 4x4 post ( assuming you have the existing box in the correct position to meet USPS requirements), all you will have to do is cut the post to the height of the inside sleeve of the mailbox post. (The new mailbox's post is shaped to allow it to fit over a 4x4 - similar to an "H" shape when viewed as a cross section.) Two lag screws come with the kit. These screw in from the front. The heads are exposed and are shiny metal, so they show readily. If that bothers you, a simple dress-up would be a dab of matching paint on them. Same is true for the other screws that are used to assemble the mailbox. The kit comes with a cover that screws onto the 4x4 when viewed from the back. This hides the 4x4 from the back, but edges still show. Again, if that bothers you, you can paint the 4x4 edges before screwing the cover to the wood post. This is a very reasonably priced mailbox, and if you already have a wood post in place, you only have to cut it to a height of about 2 feet from the ground. It takes about 15 - 30 minutes to install this once the post is in place. I used a reciprocating saw to cut my old 4x4, then a socket set to install the two lag screws and a battery powered drill/driver to put in the screws. (The socket wrench will need to be able to reach the screw heads. I used an extension to the wrench and a socket. Using hand tools will be more difficult and take more time. This is not an "estate" mailbox. It's a nice looking, functional mailbox. I would not call it fancy by any means, but it looks a lot better than a metal box set on a metal pole or a wood cross-shaped post. The part I like best is the open-from-the-rear feature. There are doors in the back that allows you to open and retrieve your mail and/or newspapers (lower compartment) while standing away from the traffic side of the box. Where I live, this is a big safety feature, as I lose about one mailbox every year or so. The mail part of the box (front and back) stay shut using magnets. I like that feature much better than boxes than use a pressure fir to keep doors closed.I would have given this 5 stars, but I thought a few features like screws with matching color heads, lag bolts with plastic head covers of matching colors would have made a nicer looking finished install. These shouldn't add too much to the cost of manufacturing and would make the mailbox a look better. Also, the newspaper door on the rear side (front of newspaper bin is open) doesn't fit well and sometimes hits against the mailbox structure. That parts looks a little on the poorly built side. Other than those small downside items, I really like this mailbox because it's nice, easy to install and a good buy.I would and have recommended this mailbox to friends.
