Last summer, someone literally knocked out my old mailbox so I went to HD and saw this 📪 one and thought this is it. However, I didn't purchase it there. The price was almost $55.00 and I was not willing to pay that much. Checked it out here in Amazon and found it at a considerable lower price, $38.00. I was amazed, the quality & craftsmanship are equal or better than others costing more. Very easy to install and as of today, it is still in place, the door closes tightly and looks new. OPS! I almost forget to mention that it came with reflective number. I love it and highly recommend it.

The County added shoulders to the road and remove my old mail box and replaced it with a cheap mailbox that had a door latch that would not hold the door shut. This mailbox has a fantastic door latch. The mailbox is made of steel that will be able to survive being hit with snow from the snowplow without smashing the side of the mailbox in. Worth the price I paid for it.

This is a piece of junk. The flag washer was the wrong size. The flag keeper didn't fit. The door wouldn't close.

Fairly easy to put on, but wish they had a better way to attached the flag. Had the flag fall off twice as the plastic washer inside the box is hard to get on really tight. Otherwise, Big, nice looking and had it on the post in a few minutes.

Size and design was great. Build quality left a lot to be desired. Disappointed in the quality of construction. Minimal weld tacks/rivots used. If I was in the USA I would return. Glad I have a husband who can upgrade the construction to make this last.

This was an unexpected surprise. Normally $50 - $60 at Home Depot and Lowes ... I purchased this for $18 with "major cosmetic damage" and it turned out only to have the bottom edging knocked off which we just glued back on and it was perfect. We ended up using this in our garden as a toolbox. I have a system where I take a tool and put the flag up. When the tool gets returned, the flag goes down. Less lost tools now. It is very large and very sturdy. Very pleased with this.I would have been happy even using this as our roadside mailbox. Well made, good value. Good brand.

Our old mailbox had served us well for over 15 years, but it suffered significant damage recently from someone apparently hitting it. After checking at both Lowes and Home Depot, I was disappointed to find it was no longer available and many of the larger-sized mailboxes seemed to be of lightweight and cheap construction. However, this particular model was a decent size and of a bit heavier grade metal. It was available only in the bronze color for about $70. I decided to come home and check Amazon.I was happy to find that same $70 model available for $49 on Amazon. Plus it was available in the black finish which I preferred. While I wouldn't say that this box is sturdy enough to be immune from damage by snowplows or baseball-bat-wielding teens, it IS of considerably stronger metal sheeting than some of the larger models that seemed likely to dent from mere handling and installing. The door hinge works easily and the closing mechanism works well -- although we had to adjust ours for a more secure closing because it kept falling open. The adjustment is easy to do. Inside the door, you'll see two phillips-head screws. We simply loosened the screws enough to slide the latching plate upwards a bit and then retightened the screws. The door now closes easily but securely. There ARE a couple of things that I don't like about this mailbox. One is the red metal flag. It fits snugly enough along the side that it scrapes the side of the mailbox when raising it. I've tried bending it out slightly to avoid this but will probably end up covering those sharp metal edges with something to prevent scratching away paint from the side of the box. Another issue we had with it is the installation. It wasn't obvious when we ordered it, but it's designed to go with a particular type of post that has flanges to screw into the bottom of the box. The bottom screw holes didn't work for our heavy wooden rural mailbox post so we had to use 4" screws along the bottom side strips to secure it to the horizontal timber arm of our wooden post (the mailbox included marked places for screwing it in from the side, but you had to punch out the metal middle of these marked areas). All in all, I'm satisfied with this mailbox. The one thing I do miss from our old box is the secondary flag that automatically lifted whenever the door opened. Our mailman comes at random times of the day and the flag was helpful in letting us know whether he'd been there yet since the flag would pop up when he opened the door.
