The mailbox that came with the house was in very bad shape and replaced however, since we have had mail stolen, we really wanted a box locked. This one included a mounting bracket with multiple holes and even a drill bit. It installed easily, is very secure and has a very strong lock. I highly recommend this mailbox.

After being robbed, I looked for a secure. USPS approved mailbox. I found it. Installation was easy and the mailbox is just what the doctor ordered, so to speak. Works well inside and outside. Also ordered a keyhole cover to protect it from dust and vandalism. It was easy to install and works well. We are happy and hope for no more losses through theft.

Our remote mailbox has been getting hit regularly. Several neighbors put locked key boxes and after researching this seemed to be the best. After receiving and installing, I can say this is the best box on the block. This thing is HEAVY. I chose this model because it had a larger opening (still can't reach in though) and has an anti-pry ring around the key lock (better than their other models and better than competitors). Very easy install. Keys are unique in that you probably cant get at a locksmith so ordered 2 extras. Only cons are corregated slide out tray is a little flimsy and my concern is small mail may get lodged behind tray since it does slide on track but is simply wedged in. Improve the drawer and this would be PERFECT. Highly recommend.

Bought this model of Locking Mailbox after a lot of research and reading of reviews. I ended up building a two post stand for this and everything came together very well. Installing the Mailbox was very easy to do with the metal plate addition underneath, and I have been pleased with it since I finished the project at the end of September 2024. Would recommend.

We decided on this box after doing a lot of research, and in terms of security, it's the best. With the easy mount bracket the whole thing comes together very, very easily. We bought a concrete tube form and some Quickrete, dug down 18", tube in, pour the quickrete, add water and ...done. A secure, SOLID mailbox that performs beautifully. We don't have to worry about the mail arriving when we're not at home, and when we're mailing letters, there's a little clip inside to hold the outgoing mail without it hanging out of the box. Easy to get the mail out. TONS of rain and never a wet letter. Maintenance: wipe down, and make sure to get in the space between the box and bracket, as spiders enjoy a go at that space. We wax the finish about once a month to keep the shine, and I applied white modern numbers to the side. The mailman loves it.

We like this mailbox! Came well-packaged and was straight-forward to install. Awesome (Lifetime) Warranty! All hardware is included for the installation. We built our custom base for it.The only "flaw" we discovered is that base plate sticks out about 1/4 of an inch in the back from the body of the box. So, rainwater will hit the base plate and soak the wood underneath eventually. Recommend to install on treated wood to attach the base plate to, so no issues with rot. Manufacturer can reduce it a bit, so none of these issues arise.Lifetime Warranty is appreciated. However, upon registration, we did not receive a confirmation from the company that it has gone through successfully (no e-mail, nothing).Numbers are provided. But only double of each number. So, if your house number contains consecutive 3 numbers - you will have buy your own set. We ended-up pasting our house number on one side only.Besides these small things - we are very happy with this mailbox.Definitely will recommend it to others.

The TL;DR:A reasonably solid security mailbox with matching accessories that can be installed in an afternoon. You may find yourself researching alternative lock cylinders due to the key design and key-retaining lock cylinder.THE GOOD (positives):• The box has a satisfyingly minimal profile• Reasonably heavy gauge material while not being unwieldy to install• Lock appears to be far more pick resistant than a typical wafer-tumbler (or in some uses, erroneously called a disc-tumbler) cylinder• Reasonably clear instructions• The mounting plate is a nice touch: no trying to work a ratchet within the confines of the mailbox to mount it to a post or rail - mount the plate then slot the box onto it which also means no penetrations on the bottom for water to seep throughTHE BAD (quibbles):• The powder coat finish isn't as thick as I would expect• Said powder coat finish is a veritable dust magnet• The back of the unit does not appear to be sealed and the powder coat finish doesn't close the gap; however the standoffs on the floor and the included tray will likely minimize any rain intrusion moistening contents• Key insertion with a new unit can be a tad iffyTHE UGLY (faults):• I very much doubt that the box is capable of accepting a typical 3.5" high package unless it is as short as the exemplar "box of checks" in the description . With the door/baffle open to something approaching optimal clearance looks to be perhaps 2" for a long package.• The keys are unreasonably thick to the point they don't fit gracefully on my keyring, the slot isn't of sufficient diameter to allow for full rotation on a thicker split-ring keyring, and the lock retains the key when unlocked (which can be a problem with the next point)• The included mail tray won't remove without opening the receiving slot, presenting a challenge since the lock cylinder is retaining your keyring. One can drop the door with your key - and the contents of any keyring it's attached to dangling - open the receiving slot while holding the access door, or lock the door open to remove the key.Due to the issues with the key and retaining cylinder, I'm hoping that I can locate a standard high-security cylinder lock with the correct profile, height, and accepts the OEM pawl.
