The kit is nice and comes with more micro bits than you'll ever need. It comes in a thin plastic case only meant for shipping or being hung up in a store. You'll need to find a way to keep the bits organized. The super small bits with the colored plastic colors did come with a little carry case, but the rest of the bits and the handle itself have no holder.

only bad thing i can say is i loose the drill bits but i really only use one or two anyway and thats more of a me problem

A few weeks ago I bought a miniature shadow box kit here on Amazon. I did not realize that the holes needed to attach the door to the frame of the box would not be predrilled. So I returned to Amazon to look for an inexpensive hand drill that could do this. I eventually decided on this one after looking at many models and reading many reviews.Not having used a hand drill before, this was a learning experience overall, but I am pleased with this drill. There were no instructions for use included, but it was simple to figure out how to get the bits in (not that dissimilar to how you insert blades into a hobby knife) and after some practice I got used to the movements required for drilling and was able to create the 8 tiny holes needed for the hinges of the frame front. I am no expert, but the bit I chose seemed very effective and accurate and “sharp” (not sure what the right word is when you want to say the bit cut through things smoothly and easily).I expect I will be able to make more use of this simple but effective drill for future projects, especially given the many different sizes of bits included and the amount of miniatures I make.

I've used the bits just by guessing the right size, but I decided to design a small organizer for all the tiny bits. Got out my calipers to separate them correctly and found that I received 10x0.6mm bits instead of 5x0.6mm and 5x0.5mm. Moderately frustrating. Also, the 2.3mm bits are 2.20mm and 2.17mm. The rest are within 0.03mm of the spec, all undersized.

I bought this as an upgrade to my army painter pin vice. The previous pin vice I used required you to change the chucks out based on the diameter of the drill bit you were planning on using, and wouldn't always bite well on the drill bit, allowing the bit to spin. This pin vice features a free adjustable chuck similar to what you'd find on electric drills, and allows you to swap between drill bits in a moment. If it's not holding the bit, you can simply tighten it a bit more.I won't take a point off for it, but it would be nice if the head of the pin vice had two flat spots on it so you could put a wrench on it, but given the size of bits you're going to be using and the torque you can apply, it's probably overkill.

This is a great buy! I'm very pleased with these bits, they are very sharp and very sturdy. I like to do models and at 1:24 the steering rod is a small hole to drill. This set has the bit and its strong and sharp. I had gotten the dremel set a month prior, when I warped the smallest bit I looked for something else. The smallest bit in this set is half the size of the smallest dremel bit and probably 3x as strong and sharp!
