Since I returned this, I can NOT state its usability, It did not fit the thread pattern of my spark plug.

Put a bit of grease on it to prevent chips from getting in the cylinder

These work great. Quality is nice. Design is strange but doesn't get in the way of function.

This Alltooetools Spark Plug Thread Chaser got me out of a jam.I installed a Wideband O2 stainless bung in my exhaust. Not being a professional TIG welder I accidentally welded at a higher amperage then I actually needed. So although the bung was installed well I botched the threads a bit on the stainless bung.So I used the 18mm tap from the Alltooetools Spark Plug Thread Chaser set and using a bit of oil on the threads the tap cleaned up the threads nicely. The taps are pretty well made and I never felt like the tap was going to break/snap like cheaper taps sometimes do.It is a good value and if you do any automotive work then this would be handy to have in your tool box.The sizes included are; M10 x 1.0, M12 x 1.25, M14 x 1.5, and M18 x 1.5.

Worked great for chasing threads in O2 sensors that came out hard. Alot easier than cutting off a tap and using vise grips. Nice to have the various sizes kicking around for next time, provided I can find them.

This spark plug thread 'cleaner' repaired the cross-threaded spark plug threads in my customer's cylinder head after being 'serviced' by an underhanded shady shop! We were both happy with how easy this thread cleaner re-aligned the threads on this small engine to where you could hand thread a spark plug once again. A very valuable tool!

I bought this to use on a catalytic converter I bought, both rear O2 sensor bungs were over heated and warped the threads from the factory, the company wanted me to pay to return it and get a new one which would have put me out another $150 shipping plus a 25% restocking fee so I decided to try a thread chaser first, I bought this kit and the day it arrived i threaded the M18 side in it went in 2 threads and stopped i sprayed pb blaster on the threads to lube it and went slowly stopping after 1/4 of a turn and backing it out then going another 1/4 turn every full revolution spraying a bit more pb blaster on it after 15 minutes I was all the way through and the threads were clean again I could hand thread the sensor all the way in like the front two holes and tighten the sensor all the way down the thread chaser itself shows no wear at all unlike a lisle one i tried first from advance auto locally. I would recommend trying this first before going to an exhaust shop if you need to fix threads on an exhaust bung or a spark plug hole. I would also mention the exhaust bung on the catalytic converter is not soft aluminum it's stainless steel.
