Adjustment Tips: Due to the material of the spark plug, some spark plug electrodes will rebound when adjusting the gap, which is a normal physical phenomenon. If your gap target is 0.44 mm, we recommend using 0.42 mm, so that you will get 0.44 m when it rebounds. It is recommended to use a gauge smaller than the target gap.

Best set if you don’t have both. I used the feelers for the spark gap and valve clearances.The main tool has spots on the backside to pry open a tight gap.

I looks good and is very easy to use, but it is not universal. What happens with the small engines? Trimmers, Blowers, Chainsaws, etc, that uses smaller spark plugs? None of the gappers shown on Amazon work with them. Do some take the step to make a new gapper for two cycle small plugs like the 7T, BPMR7A, Champion CJ8, RCJ6Y, RCJ7Y, BPM8Y, etc.? There are a lot of this small plugs every were.

It does the job, feels pretty solid and well made. As for the feeler gauge, its ok but I use wire in combination in setting the gap.

I'm used to adjusting spark plugs with the gap tool. Usually works okay, but I saw this and thought I would give it a whirl. I have to say it was a handy little tool that made me feel a bit more confident with my adjustments. The plug sits in nicely and you insert the feeler gauge and gently compress via the little turning handle. For increasing the gap there are several slots on the other side to use. Nice little device that is nicely made. Compact and takes up little space in my tool box. Glad I got it!

This is a convenient set for making those minute adjustments in spark plug gap. While they are passable for adjusting plugs, those round key chain gappers do not offer the ease and precision that this combination does. The gapping tool is great and would only be half of the equation with out the included feeler gauge. This tool allows you to increase or decrease the gap without risk of damaging the insulator or breaking off the ground electrode. This tool fits most common sizes of spark plug and the overall construction feels solid. I did put a bit of grease on the threads to prevent galling the threads on the adjustment knob

Right off I will say that this is a completely unnecessary product. I've been setting spark-plug gaps with nothing more than a feeler gauge and a small screwdriver or knife (and a hard surface to tap the plug on) for almost 60 years. However, that said, having tried this product, I will never NOT use this product again. Pop in a plug, slip the feeler gauge in the spark-plug gap, tighten the knob - done!! A perfect gap, no fuss, no damage to the plug. I don't know how I managed without this for all of these years. I absolutely love it!
