This is a great starter kit! I am new to sourdough, and honestly, this kit has even more things than I need(such as measuring cups).It worked just as it said it would to help me start my own sourdough. I am someone with celiac disease and buying gluten-free sourdough bread is quite expensive. I wanted a way to make my own and save a little bit of money. I “cheated“ and got myself a gluten-free starter to save myself the time and effort of feeding my sourdough starter every day.I am now able to make my own delicious bread. I feed my starter about once a week and keep it in the fridge so that it is lower maintenance. I would say that the thermometer that comes with it is a little silly in my opinion, but it does technically work. I have not tried using the directions for wheat bread that come along with it, but from what I’ve seen online doing my research, it seems like it should work just fine using their directions if you are making wheat-based bread.

Absolutely fantastic! This product comes with everything you need to get started, with simple instructions to make your sourdough process easy and delicious! This worked out perfectly and now i have great sourdough!!! Will definitely recommended!!!!

This set for baking sourdough seems to have everything you need to get started. The only downside I found was that the instructions stop after one week, so what then? I have found myself needing to do a lot of extra research on sourdough making as I am a bit intimidated by the idea/ process. This set comes with pretty much everything you need besides the starter itself, better instructions and a bread lame (razor blade for cutting the top). I purchased that separately and I am looking forward to using this set and getting started on making my own starter for sourdough bread!

A great kit for sourdough starter, comes with everything you need and a little guide. The jar is quite large too so if you need to keep feeding it, you can. Would be good for a beginner.
