Nice size opening , but metal lid , rust after first use in 3 days .You need to put plastic over glass opening then put metal lid on to keep it from rusting and getting into content /liquid ..might be fine for dry goods , flour , coffee , rice ,,, foods like that .

I bought this jar for pickling eggs. It fit 18 eggs comfortably and it sitting in the back of the refrigerator. The jar lid is air tight. Can't beat the price for a high quality glass wide mouth jar! Great buy!

We have decided to remove most all plastics from our home. We have been buying different jars to see if we can incorporate those instead of plastic storage containers. This jar was great, and I absolutely love it. We'll possibly be buying more as we organize

Bought this to brew kombucha and to store my Scoby in when in between kombucha brews. So far so good. Easy to clean, tight lid, good size, does the job.

I bought this one gallon jar for iced tea. Got tired of the cheap quality glass jars with a spigot that always fail. This jar will not crack when you pour boiling water in it. And there’s no cheap spigot that fails over time. I pour 8 cups of super hot water into it, let four family size Lipton tea bags steep for 5 minutes. Then I add 8 cups of cold water and a half cup of sugar. Boom, fresh iced tea. Well worth the purchase. The lid is metal, not plastic. So you’ll get years of use out of it.
