It's just a 6 gallon bucket but so expensive. However it beats the snot out of removing fruit and yeast from a glass carboy. Those are pain to clean with wine must in it. This makes quick work of fermentation and easy access to your working product. Ingredient can be added easily and racking is easier too. Should last a good while if taken care of properly and pay itself off fairly quickly.

For that price, I expected more. How hard it is to provide a proper lid? I'm done with the FasTrack brand.

These are fantastic. I have been making wine in them for 8 months or so. I get the little 2-bung kit that's around $7 or $8 on Amazon & it fits perfect, works perfect I have seen reviews where people say they don't seal: They seal like a hot bitch. You have to PUSH down all around, and to remove, you have to PULL up all around, over and over until your fingers are screaming blue murder. WHERE IS YOUR LID TOOL THAT YOU *SAY* YOU HAVE????? I need one Last Year. Can't find in your Amazon store. Pretty angry about it, to be honest.

I bought this because I borrowed the exact same one in the past. I have glass fermenters I use for my apple wine but they do not work the best for a thicker mash like I have with my raspberry wine. I used the one I borrowed with my raspberry wine last year and it worked great. The fermentation process went smooth. The quality and alcohol content seemed the same as when I used my glass fermenter. With how much easier this is to clean it will be my go to in the future.

Ok newbies, this bucket works fine. If you have CO2 leakage, make sure the lid is on ALL THE WAY..!! Tap it with a hammer lightly if needed. If you still have issues, check the air lock grommet to make sure it is not loose. If so, use a bead of silicone to seal it around the outside edge(happened to me with a different lid). To get the lid off, use your thumbs to push up on the bottom ridge of the lid and work your way around slowly. It will come off fine. I have been using this fermenter bucket for months now. Even with other fermentation lids and visa versa. So just relax and go brew...!!!If your brew sours, you probably pitched the yeast too soon. I speak from experience...With all I have written... Bottoms Up..!!

I haven't used this just yet; but it looks to be idiot proof at first glance. In fact; the only way you could mess up is if you didn't leave any room for expansion after you add the yeast and snapped on the lid. The fill-lines are clearly marked and easy to read, the o-ring allows for any size airlock to be used, and the lid closes super tight. However, when you first get this bucket, make damn sure your finger nails are clipped fairly low; you'll rip your finger nails off if your fingers happen to slip when you're opening it for the first time. Other than that; I'm look forward to my first brew with this.
