This a very innovative idea for a shower foot rest. A simple metal bar, screwed into a shower wall creates a convenient, easy to use foot rest. The bar itself is a high quality heavy-duty stainless steel piece. It's actually what looks like a heavy duty sheet of metal that was formed into a rectangular shape with the ends cut off at an angle to accommodate the right angle of a shower. But you can't see any place where the metal might have been soldered into a rectangular shape so it might have been pressed into this shape? (I can't imagine how they would do that.) I wish I knew a little about engineering to figure it out. In any case, you have this high quality piece of metal that will be the foot rest.There are no instructions for installing this foot rest. The videos that I saw online make it seem like it would be very easy. It does involve making holes in the shower wall however, so it would have been nice for them to include instructions for doing that. I'm so afraid of cracking those tiles when I drill. Also, it's important to get the height correct the first time because this isn't something that you would want to move after installing because of the holes it would leave in the wall. Also, be careful when placing the foot rest. The metal edges at the ends are a little rough and you wouldn't want to scratch the shower tiles as you install it. I really wish that they had sent girls to shop class in middle school when they sent the boys. Then maybe I'd have more confidence doing this.....I originally planned on placing the footrest in our main bathroom. This bathroom has a tub/shower combination. As we proceeded with the installation we realized that it wouldn't work. The ideal height for the footrest was less than the height of our tub and we couldn't install it in the tub. We looked at the shower walls but then the footrest would have been much too high and we're not tall people!!We realized that this footrest has to be installed in our master bath which has a stall shower and is currently being repaired. As soon as that is complete we will proceed with the installation.One more thing to mention. This footrest is on the heavy side. You need to make sure that you find a secure spot on the wall to attach it.

I use to always have to balance my foot up against something in order to shave and usually it's something very skinny that my foot would barely fit on. Now I have this solid sturdy piece build for my foot to rest on in a location that is comfortable for me. No more slipping in the shower to shave my legs.

This is a decent little foot rest. The metal and shape is very high class. Assembly is not bad you use the included template to screw the side pieces in place, then slip the metal rest in place. It is sturdy simple and attractive while not taking up much space.

This is a pretty nice foot rest for the shower, once you get it figured out.Instructions are NOT included, but an unlabeled cardboard template for hole positions is. Just be sure you don’t throw it away when opening the box, as it just looks like some random piece of packaging. Hardware, thumbscrews, screws & flimsy anchors are included too. I don’t think the included anchors are strong enough to get that 100 lb load capacity though. Best to install this when framing so you can add a couple of studs to screw this into. If you can’t add new studs, I’d definitely get some stronger anchors than the ones provided.After figuring it all out & adding a couple of studs, I’m confident that this’ll hold. The finish is nice on the top & front of the bar. The underside came with some dings & scratches, but you no one can see them under there.Since it’s not mentioned in the product details, I can confirm that this is made in China.All in all, this is a fine foot rest. A bit overpriced for what it is & the quality of what was received, but it does work & looks nice in the end.

Foot rest, and the build quality, size, is perfect for my needs. I used the provided template to mark my drill points. Ease of assembly was straightforward as I mounted my step with the fasteners facing down. Design and value for the money was why I chose this step. Design made this step very non-obtrusive and a good fit for my shower. The rubber non-slip bands and main step section can easily be removed when needed for cleaning.

I never knew this existed until I got one. It was easy to install and also improves the look and functionality of my shower. It is very heavy duty looking and has the weight of sheer quality. Such a nice accessory to have!
