Item works great if going from a tub surround to tile in bathroom. My plumbing was to far back for my shower head and wand to connect properly with added cement board, thinset and tile. I tested it with just thread tape, it had a small leak. So I doubled the tape and put a o-ring on this part and cinched it down. Doesn't have tapered threads so needs extra tape. Just highly recommend testing plumbing before closing it up. All in all exactly what I needed and no leaks.

if you look it up this is what you may find "Even though NPT and G threads may have similar diameters for certain sizes, the differences in thread angle, taper, and sealing mechanisms make them incompatible in practice. Forcing NPT and G threads together may damage the threads and lead to leaks or connection failure. Really bad idea to buy this and say it's a perfect fit!!

Installed 2 of these with Teflon tape (3-4 turns) and megaloc multi purpose sealant. Leaked on first try. Cleaned and did whole process 2 other times, and still have a tiny leak 4 weeks later. Did not ceramic wall yet. Did test on the 2 shark bite drop ear, no leaks found. Threads on adaptors seem to be the problem, not recommended.

I put in tile shower and had to adjust lengths of shower attachments do to tile depth and grout. I was sure how far out to leave the shower outlets form backer board. These worked great. Fit and sealed first time.

using Teflon tape doesn't work, and as you would think, a small leak after the tile is unseen until it's too late. I found that the drop ear and these are threaded correctly but it's almost a beveled fitting. I`m currently trying a pipe sealant to try and correct the issue. Will post the results. In all it`s what I need just have to stop the seepage.
