I ordered the longer 18” shaft and it did not come with a support arm to keep it from bending downward once the shower head was attached, causing too much weight on the end.

This shower arm extender is made from quality alloy metals. The manufacturer intentionally placed washer caps on the ends to prevent dirt and debris from entering the entrance to the pipe. This small attention to detail is worthy of commendation.The included teflon tape is also something worth mentioning. It probably costs very little to the manufacturer but saves the end user/consumer much time if a roll of teflon tape isn't on hand to tape up the connections.

Solid extension. Comes in 2 segments with an O-ring fitting between the two and a metal flange to cover the end. Works. Not sure what else there is to say for a pipe.
