LOVE!!!!!!! I purchased this specifically for the attached lights as I was trying to grow some plants during winter. Prior to this, I was not using lights or a heating mat and was unable to successfully grow green onions. This product helped me grow cosmos, verdena, lavender, mint, oregano and cilantro (all in a shorter period of time based on the germination time listed on the packages). My 5 year old daughter also things it’s very cool and loves to check on the growth everyday. My only complaint is that it leaks due to the condensation, but nothing crazy. I’d like to buy another!

I have a lot of the same type planting trays but the addition of lights and heat mat really speeds things up. Set it up on Wednesday with several herb and vegetable seeds. Saturday morning and 3 varieties are already growing.You do get water dripping from the lid so I have it on a plastic tray.

This seed starter kit has some good features, but it also has some significant drawbacks that prevent it from being a truly great product. I like the inclusion of both the grow light and the heat mat, as this provides a good environment for seed starting. The three lighting modes are a definite plus, allowing for more tailored light for different growth stages. The adjustable humidity domes are also helpful.However, there are a few key issues. The biggest problem is the leaking. Condensation and water from the humidity domes drips down onto the heating mat, which is a major design flaw. The instructions on the mat clearly state it shouldn't get wet, and the kit does nothing to prevent this. I had to buy a separate tray to protect the mat, which is an added expense and inconvenience. This makes me question the overall design and engineering of the product.Another issue is the size. It's smaller than I anticipated, which limits the number of seeds you can start. Finally, the packaging isn't very robust. My first kit arrived with a cracked dome, even though the shipping box was undamaged. This suggests the plastic is fragile and prone to breaking. While the company did replace it, it was still a hassle.Overall, this kit has potential, but the leaking issue and fragile construction are significant problems. If these issues were addressed, it would be a much better product. As it stands, I can only give it three stars.

This seed starter kit is a boon for gardening novices! As someone who has just started to try growing vegetables, this set of equipment really saves me a lot of trouble.
