Es totalmente inútil, inclusive con el firmware actualizado, la probé con miles de configuraciones y simplemente es basura informática

I was Installing the hardware with 4 spare older, slower, SSDs and the quad SATA RAID is to be configured as a stripe to maximize throughput. The card didn't really come with any instructions or hints from the seller/manufacturer for configuring the Marvell 88SE9230 chipset on the 4x SATA RAID version of the card (hardware RAID 0/1/10 supported)I located the configuration software searching "Marvell Storage Utility" and after installing the most recent version I found the config was straightforward once I got my OS to recognize all of the drives.I have not had a chance to do a full burn-in or benchmarking yet and while the performance difference isn't on par (or even close to) one of the really fast modern SSDs, I do perceive read/write to be quite a bit faster than one of the SSDs alone... This option seems to be a decent way to extend the useful life of older or budget level SSD hardware that otherwise would be tossed out.

An affordable if quirky way to Raid some 2.5" SSDs. While hardware raid drivers don't exist for Mac, it seems to work in Catalina with software raid. The non raid version of this card is only 1 PCI-E gen 2 lane, but this card is 4 lane gen 2. The seller indicates that this card is not compatible with Mac OS, but the drives I had configured as a software raid using the non raid-card mounted as a raid as soon as I had them hooked up via this new card. The speeds aren't exactly mind blowing, but its a decent budget option for getting a little more performance out of a collection of 2.5" SSDs. I have 2 Crucial 2TB and 2 Macron 2TB. Individually the crucial get around 380MBps read write while the Macron only get about 260 each. so the 680 MBps performance I'm getting is decent considering the mixed drives I'm using. It's also about 3x better than I got out of the non-raid version of this card or what I was able to get out of USB 3 gen 2 enclosures with dual disk raids using the same drives.note that while the total thickness of the board with the drives is about that of a single height PCI-E card, the chips are all on the back side of the board, which means that the rear mounted drives stick out even further than you might think (weirdly the non-raid version of this card has chips on the front) so it won't fit next to a full height 1u card to its back. in the left/bottom-most slot it fits fine, and the top side of the card even with drives mounted is less than 1 full height card. haven't measured but if using more than one of these side by side they'd probably fit.Haven't tried it with windows/ hardware raid yet. And haven't done any endurance testing with it yet (this is a day 1 review)Pros:• worked for me in software raid with Mac OS Catalina (In sonnet thunderbolt 3 enclosure)• decent speed for the pricecons:• only PCI-E v 2 with 4x lanes so full 4x sataIII speeds will never quite be reached• unusual physical layout means it's slightly thicker in total than a standard single PCIE card

I bought the RAID version even though it didn't say it had macOS support or drivers, but I knew the Marvell 88SE9230 chip was more or less supported. I have another PCIe 6G eSATA (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HR0PXRU) card that is supported. The MSU software that controls the RAID also works with the 9230 series. Unfortunately, although the description for this card and for the 88SE9230 state that it is a 2x PCIe Gen 2 design, it's currently only using 1x according to the Apple System Information utility. According to the Marvell MSU utility, it's even worse. It says it's 2x capable and at 5Gb/s but it's only using 2.5Gb/s. which sucks when you have 4 6Gb SSD drives on the card and they have to share. That's worse than the original 3Gb/s MacPro SATAII interface. I've looked at the Sedna site and the support for this card is non-existent - no drivers, no manual, no user forum. So the card gets 3 stars. 2 stars taken off because it doesn't work at the proper speed. I would have tried the other card that Sedna has, but it's sold as a 1X which is what the chip (Marvell 88SE9125) is designed for. This one was supposed to have a faster bus interface.
