This wine uncorker does not work. I have an Oster electric opener that is cracked on the side and is getting old, so I decided to buy yours because it had the clear plastic at the bottom so you can see exactly where the corkscrew is going into the cord. I have tried using it on standard Rodney Strong and Trader Joe’s wine bottles. They all have standard corks made out of the cork, not plastic ones. Thinking somehow it didn’t fully charge, I left is to charge overnight --- with the blue light shining, indicating that contacts are lined up to charge properly. It still struggles to get even halfway down into the cork and then it just stops, forcing me to back it out (which it also does very slowly). I was worried it was going to stay where it stopped, but it finally mustered the strength to back out of the cork.I let the return date go by because I was fiddling with it thinking it was going to work, figuring that the last cork must have been an unusually hard one or it wasn’t fully charged. But it does the same on EVERY cork. My years-old Oster is cracked, but it works like a charm. This is junk.I would like my money back, but I don’t have the box any more. And it is just 5 days past the Jan 31 return date. I also bought one as a present for my niece, so I am VERY disappointed in this product.

This rechargeable corkscrew is such a wonderful, easy to use gadget. We've had it for a few years and have never had an issue with it. A perfectly opened bottle of wine every time!

The wine opener arrived on time and packed very well for shipping. We had an automatic wine opener for many years but it finally quit working. We picked this one because it functioned very similar to our previous opener which was very easy to use. Very happy with the choice!

Excellent for removing wine corks easily. There is also a foil cutter included in the package. It's easy to charge and takes up very small space.

I bought this on Nov. 2020, after hand surgery left me temporarily unable to do simple yet necessary tasks- like opening a wine bottle. 🤪It's compact, nicely designed, and reliable. I kept it plugged in all the time with no issues. The only negative so far is the blue light which stays on whenever the unit is in the base, fully charged or not. (Not a fan of the many small yet bright lights from all appliances! Placing a Talking Yoda figurine in front of it blocked enough of the light to satisfy me).I found it easy to use and appreciated the foil cutter. Worked well on all types of corks.Flash forward to spring 2024... Despite the constant charging, the corkscrew dies at maybe a half inch into the cork. Just slows down and dies. Having read earlier reviews, I may try to crack it open and replace the battery. But ultimately, having regained my hand strength back, I'm more likely to go back to an old fashioned, reliable, hand operated corkscrew and celebrate the loss of weird lights and needed electricity. Conclusion: unless you are recovering from hand surgery, just get a good quality non- electric corkscrew and use it for 75 years (optimistically). Best deal ever. And you can take it camping too.

Gave this to someone as a gift and it was absolutely worth it! I was 100% hesitant because of how cheap it is but it’s really getting a bang for your buck. It’s super sturdy, very smooth with how it operates and just so sleek.

Bought this for my parents, as they struggle with a regular wine opener - they’re delighted with it, and say it feels weighty and works perfectly.

I have had mechanical wine openers before and found them to be more annoying and more time consuming than just using a traditional corkscrew. NOT the case w/this one. So....1. display: the charger station is small enough in size that it would fit in most any location w/o taking up too much space. For those that do not like clutter or one more "gadget" to sit out, this is a good size. The charging station has a little holder for the foil cutter as well which is great and keeps all parts together so no one has to search drawers when ready to open the bottle. There is a blue light that glows while being charged and is very pleasant to look actually and is a nice touch. so it actually looks really good sitting on top of the wine rack. Mine happens to be right next to an electrical plug on the wall so does not reveal the hanging cords or wires.2. function: works great so far and have opened quite a few bottles. very easy to use. would suggest holding the bottle by the fatter part toward the middle and then using the other hand to work the corkscrew. does not work well if the bottle sits on the counter unless you have a good solid grip on the base. Its actually easier to just pick up the bottle and do it that way. of course that's after using the foil cutter which gives a perfect cut and removal each and every time.3. battery life: i think the product says it can be used for 30 bottle openings during a single charge. that is quite more wine that most people would be going through in an evening so i don't think anyone would have an issue w/keeping a charge. I use it and then put directly back on the charging station as i do my mechanical salt and pepper grinders. that way, its always on the cradle and charging. as mentioned there is a blue light that glows in the actual item while its charging and i like the way it looks so would have no reason to keep it off the charger anyway.this also makes a GREAT gift especially a house warming gift to anyone who drinks wine or entertains

After several other wine bottle openers (other brands) that did not last long, this one is THE wine bottle opener that you want to use. Sleek, yet quite hefty in the hand, it works like a charm. Just place the opening on the top of the bottle and press the button. The device's screw works its magic like a champ, and you can feel the torque induced while the cork is lifted. Just make sure that you hold the bottle securely, and that you let the mechanism stops by itself at the end of the opening. Then, press the other button to release the cork. Et voilà! If there is a little minus to mention is that the unit wobbles a bit when put back in its charging cradle. Not too much of a hassle, since the unit will sit on your counter or your bar, glowing a nice gentle blue hue while being there.I bought two other kits, just to be given away as gifts. BTW, the wife loves it too, and find it easy to use as well. Time will tell if this unit will last longer than my other brand's units, but so far it looks promising.
