Used as a dog deterant after aggressive dogs killed one of our dogs.Discharged it but shot above the dogs. It ran off the dogs so now I carry it whenever I take the dogs out. * We life on 5 acres in the country. Not just carrying it around the burbs

On a recent photography trip to northern Wisconsin, I knew that I'd be in bear country. Not wanting to carry a gun (state parks have rules!) I wanted to have some form of protection. My decision to buy this one was a combination of price and capacity. I was pleasantly surprised to find the quality to be top-notch! I never ended up needed it on that trip, but I pack it with whenever I venture into the great north woods! Great value and highly recommended!

First, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I haven't had to use it, and frankly I hope I never will! I've recently moved into the mountains of NC where there are bears galore. I would never go walking without something, just in case. I might look up here at home and see one in the tree, so there's that. SO if you live in bear country or if you want to hike some trails, you must get this. Must Get!

We live in a neighborhood where we’ve seen coyotes but never had an “encounter”. Seen them walking down the street, or thru a neighbors lot, but the neighbor behind us had their dog attacked. Can’t take care of the issue in a neighborhood, so got this for the girls to spray the coyote if it comes too close. Figure even if the dog got sprayed, a vet visit to clean out the eyes is better than bites or worse. Easy to train them on how to use, and the safety system is a one direction pull with your thumb while holding to make it easier to make ready under stress.
