This is a pretty decent bear bag kit, with everything you need to keep your food and scented items (and hopefully yourself) from harm. If you're car camping (or even motorcycle camping) in bear country, this bag is quite useful. I say car camping, because this is a lot of bulk and a bit of weight to be carrying if you're hiking long distances. The bag not so much, but the ropes are, especially if you take them both. Up until I got this bag, I was using 1/8 inch paracord to hang my stuff. Far less bulky but a lot less strong.The bag and ropes are good quality, and the package works well. It's obviously not going to be comfortable backpack, but it's an option. The whistle and bell are also not useful for me, but they are really just bonus items "free with bear bag."As a friendly word of warning, please do not hang your food in a tree that is 20 feet from your tent as is shown in the product page.

The bag itself is made well, with good welds. The logo on it is fun, and the orange is nice and bright to see up in the trees. The accessories are decent, but for peace of mind I usually swap out for the best rope and carabiners I can carry. The throw weight bell and whistle are nice additions, even if on the cheaper side.

I absolutely recommend this Gonex Bear Bag 10L for camping food storage. It is excellent for the task it is built for. I use this primarily for back packing, hiking, fishing, and kayaking. But I think it is an excellent choice for anyone who wants their food to be out of reach of bugs or animals. If you are in bear country, then this is a must-have item. This would be a great gift to pack in with your camping gear.

This bear bag is a total lifesaver for camping! Super lightweight but durable, and the waterproof material keeps food dry no matter the weather. The 10L size is perfect for storing all my food and smellables.The included bell and whistle are a nice touch for extra safety, and hanging it is super easy. Feels way more secure than just tossing food in a tree bag. If you're heading into bear country, this is a must-have.

My Gonex Bear Bag arrived, and overall, it seems like a decent piece of kit. The bag itself, along with the straps, ropes, carabiners, and rock pouch all appear pretty well-made, though I haven't yet stress-tested them with a full load. For capacity, the bag can reasonably fit a fully Costco paper towel roll inside (wouldn't go much more). Still need to test the "waterproof" claim but the material feels promising. The included whistle is trash and the bell is less "grizzly deterrent" and more "slightly annoyed chipmunk." It's a bit of a letdown considering the rest of the package. And while the whole system seems fairly intuitive there weren't any instructions.

This is a bear bag hanging kit used to preserve and protect your food supplies from curious bears. It comes with two different rope lines and a throwing kit to toss the line over a tree branch and hang your supplies out of the reach of bears. The kit also comes with a bear bell and whistle to alert bears and other predatory animals of your presence and not startle them into a reactionary encounter. I highly recommend!
