Originally I got this primer, to use under my paint, but its color and consistancy for my steer skull projects were so good I used it as my base paint as well.

Used this to prime a 3d printed ABS helmet. Dried quickly in a white color. Easy to spray and use and produced a great prime layer that ultimately I painted over with another glossy color.

let me tell you, this stuff really works prepping plastics, I used it on a plastic planter did some epoxy clay decorations on it and spray painted with rust oleum chalk paint then sealed with rust oleum matte finish. They have the best products on the market! little tip, when using this prep make sure you are at least a foot away, and give light quick sprays to the surface, otherwise it will drip here and there.

I had to spray paint 30 feet of 4" PVC pipe. PVC, like many plastics, do not hold paint OR primer very well, UNLESS you put in the simple preparation work.I used 220 grit sandpaper to lightly sand and remove all the gloss from the pipes surface. You do not need to sand hard at all, just hold it to the light and make sure there are no shiny sections, super easy to do!Then, I hosed them off, let them dry, and rubbed the pipe over with tack cloth to get all the dust off.The primer goes on very smooth and covers extremely well, it's difficult to get the primer to run or drip. Again, follow the instructions. After it dried for 6 hours, (my choice), the spray paint went on beautifully! I did three light coats and then did three light coats of a clear coat, it looks great and is chips resistant!I then tried the primer out on wood, I'm always going to use this plastic primer on wood from now it, it works far better than regular wood spray primer.

I wanted to paint the outside garage touchpads the same color as my new siding. The siding paint was for metal. The touchpads were plastic. I followed the instructions on the can. The paint for metal adhered to the plastic. Happy I found this product. I highly recommend!!

Used it to prime a plastic moulding which I later spray painted with a chrome finish. Lays down thick enough without running to sand the moulding with 400 grit paper to achieve a perfect finish

I have been doing some "sprucing" up around the house. I had tried to repaint some plastic items I had with no luck. I decided to give the Rust Oleum primer a try. Well it worked like a charm! Adhered to the plastic with no issues. I was able to paint the finish color with no trouble at all! Just a tip! Follow the instructions! When I tried to paint my first item, I just went ahead and sprayed it....just to find the paint didn't "stick" very well! The instructions said to try a small inconspicuous area first. Well I didn't and had a mess to clean up! I was worried that the primer would not work, but it worked great and it's worked on everything I've tried it on! Very happy with this product!

but has a smell. Otherwise, sands down to a shiney, plasticky finish. Looks good!
