This was very easy to install to replace a halo that had failed after 7 years. Attach the ground wire and plug the connector in. Took five minutes including retrieving a step ladder.

ON 2 OF THE UNITS THE NETURAL OR BLACK HOT WIRE EASILY DISCONNESTED OR WAS DISCONNECTED. WAS ABLE TO RECONNECT BY TAKING A SMALL METAL POINT AND PRESS DOWN THE WIRE CLIP TO AND RE-INSERT THE WIRE. THE WIRES SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DISCONNECT SO EASIILY.

If you have 4-inch recessed downlights in your home, it has been difficult to find good LED retrofit options. For some time I tried screw-in LED bulbs, but they were never ideal.These lights have good color (for LED, anyway), excellent light dispersion, and excellent brightness.Installation was easy and very clearly documented. It literally took me less than five minutes to install one.

Did my whole house with Halo lights after trying a few types, I found these looked great. Most alternatives have a plastic housing which looks cheep up close. These are high quality painted metal trim. However the 4" have a really crappy mounting system (basically grinding metal tabs into the housing). I preferred the 5/6" lights which have a nice v-clip. I have about 8 of these 4" units and I am going to try a 3rd party spring clip to improve the install fit.
