First off this is not a random review of goof rings in general but of this specific product. Most goof rings seem to be made for pretty major goofs and pretty varied fixture sizes, meaning they are pretty sloppy in just about every way. They look like a goof.Installed 6" cans typically have holes almost the same diameter as LED canless fixtures, really close. So if there is ANY slop in the plaster mudding around those fixtures, a canless isn't going to cover it. More of a problem with new work cans, however the problem also exists on retrofit old work cans as well as they have an exposed rim.These rings are just big enough to "hide the sins", and not draw attention to themselves. There is no slop around the fixture, at least the ones I am using, so what is exposed is perfectly uniform, as opposed to the sloppier rings that you need to adjust once in place so they look centered. Also most other rings I have seen are just glossy and stand out like a sore thumb, and have a comparatively huge exposure. These rings ave a textured side that just blends into the ceiling. I do appreciate that company also produces made to order versions so that you can, if you need to get ones for your specific needs, although at many, many times the price.So, am I happy with them? absolutely, it's a day and night difference from the rings they replaced. On the companies website they offer their made to order rings in black as well as white (there are no standard size options on their website), and I do wish they also sold the black version of these, in this standard size, on Amazon as well (comparatively priced to the white ones). They say you can paint them but honestly painting plastic never gives very good results, I'd rather just have them cut out of the black material.I seriously thought about deducting a star because they didn't offer the black ones, to increase the chances the vendor might pay attention to this review, but that would be unfair to the product which is frankly a huge improvement to other rings I've used that just look cheesy in comparison.

These worked perfect for my Govee ceiling down lights I just purchased. They covered up the exposed hole and make the light fixtures look more elegant
