Came quick, but I learned that Rhino prodcuts don't fit on Thune products the hard way. But very easy to return. so I'm happy with the transaction, and now wiser in the choices I'll make.

was disappointed to find out it wasn't a rack and just the vertical arms. item showed up late and we were already away camping, by the time they showed up. when I opened up the box it was too late to return them according to the policy.

The add for the racks stated that buckle protectors are included with the straps and they were not. After directly contacting the manufacturer over 2 weeks ago I still have no response other than stock questions like "was the box damaged? Send us pictures." All they had to do was simply send me the missing parts , but they don't even acknowledge my requests. The racks themselves were bomber and would've been an awesome setup, but if this is their idea of customer service I'm returning the item.

PROS: Sturdy, well built, easy to install, saves a lot of space on your racks so we can attach multiple kayaksCONS: easy to uninstall (steal), your kayaks will suffer/bend when sitting directly only our roof rackIf you will be taking it off after each use, that it is acceptable, but you must buy a thick pad to put it between the rack and your kayak, or you kayak will suffer. If you plan to leave it on permanently, I would think it twice.I will be returning, so I can have/try a L shape one with "Cushing" and that can lock to the rook rack with a key.Note: This one has a way to lock in to the roof rack, but it only works with certain type of roof rack.

I had previously been using 2 sets of j hooks but got another kayak. With the J hooks I was having issues with a lot of wind movement and also had one incident where I almost lost a kayak when the straps were tied wrong. I can easily put up 4 kayaks with these and things are SOLID. Nothing is going to shake around. I even did one canoe on one side and 2 kayaks on the other. Really great system.

This rack system is awesome! Super secure for two kayaks (haven't used it for more than two yet, or a single kayak so I'm only reviewing a two kayak setup). The straps it come switch from rhino rack are easy to use and super secure. Only down side I found was the bolts to attach the rack are a bit long and hit my roof of my car when mount over top of the cross bars (I have Malone square bars) I did not try the c channel set up as I don't have those cross bars. If I wanted to mount the rack in the center of my cars roof rack, I wouldn't be able to without the bolting scratching my roof. But, could easily buy shorter bolts and be fine. Love it!!

Very easy set up on my Thule Evo wingbar. Comes with 2 sets of straps that held my kids 2 six foot kayaks very secure. Highly recommended.

Fairly versatile installation hardware. Instructions are a bit light. Folding mechanism is not particularly smooth, but works for what I need and is a good value over all

Perfect for my needs. This rack allow me to carry 3 kayaks on top of my Volkswagen Jetta. It’s easy to use (my children and I can load the kayaks quite easily) and it’s very secure, even at highway speeds on a windy day. Very happy

If only I had purchased this rack first. This is your answer to carrying more than 2 kayaks on a car. I drive a Subaru Crosstrek and these racks will hold at least three (probably four) kayaks easily. Sturdy and very easy to use as well. No fuss, all business.

These are the 3rd pair of kayak carriers I have owned and they will be the last. They installed very easily on 2 separate cars that I have used to transport my kayaks. We took 4 kayaks on a 8hour road trip (each way) and not once did the kayaks move or even shake. We have also transported just 2 kayaks as well on shorter trips and can't believe each time how fast we get them loaded and secured. Every time we stop anywhere we are asked about the racking system and where we found it. We have yet to steer anyone away from getting these as they really are a great product at a great price.

After some extensive comparisons, I can tell you that if your goal is to maximize roof rack space and carry as much as possible safely, the nautic stack is where it's at.The design features the same simple carriage bolts + under-rack plates as other competitors, but the footprint (width) on the rack is only ~4 inches, allowing you to maximize space. Additionally, because it allows the boats to rest on their side directly on your racks, it does not add unnecessary height. Finally, the simple loop design at the top is the easiest for threading straps. This design allows us to put a hardshell carrier and 2 kayaks easily, or 2 kayaks and a bike carriers, or a wide canoe and 2 kayaks, or 4 kayaks if we needed to. The versatility is awesome.Compared to the nautic stack, which can accommodate up to 4 kayaks on their sides, J style carriers are expensive and you will have trouble getting more than two boats on. Other stackers take up more space on the bar (boo) or unnecessarily raise your boats even higher up. A final added bonus is the light weight (8 pounds for 2) of this set.
