These work great. And they are easy to install. I put them on a pvc pipe that attaches to a huge reservoir of water. And I also made a waterer with them on a 6 gallon bucket.

We wanted to start using 5 gallon buckets to have less attention needed for filling and to keep their water cleaner. These work and are great!I initially tried the peck and fill type as my husband got them for me as a gift. I flicked them as the chicken would and did not like how long they took to fill, so I took them back and researched and ordered these. These are great! The cups are a good size, though I wouldn't complain if they came a little bigger. They pop apart into 2 pieces to get a good cleaning with a scrubby and toothbrush. For our warmer months, these are going to be great. I have no complaints so far!Be sure to check and mount them 4+ inches from the bottom of your buckets so you don't have to place the bucket on a platform for the cups to clear the ground. :)

I bought these to keep my chickens’ water cleaner than the traditional waterer. It works great with an easy adaptation. I attached 5 cups to a 5 gallon bucket and added water. The chickens took to it fairly quickly but they would sit on the lid and poop over the sides which would sometimes land in the water. To solve this problem I put a much larger lid on top so that any pooping from the top wouldn’t land in the water. The larger lid acts like an umbrella which keeps the water pretty clean. I added a couple bricks to the top of the large lid to keep it from falling off when the chickens sit on top of it. I wasn’t able to easily remove the inner cups for cleaning. I found it much easier to quickly hose out the cups if they start to get dirty. Very happy with my purchase!

I love these cups. They’re easy to install and easy to clean. I used a 5 gallon bucket and drilled the size holes that the directions suggest about 1” above the bottom of the container (also as instructed). I would recommend drilling the hole a little higher even though it will leave more water “unreachable” inside the container. The reason is that when I carry the bucket to my hose to clean and refill, I need to have a cement block ready or another platform to set the bucket down on so the cups don’t touch the ground. If i tried to put the bucket down on flat ground, the cups would be too low and would have to hold the weight of the whole thing, and would definitely break. So far, I haven't noticed any leakage and the chickens figured out how to drink out of them immediately.

These work...okay. I installed them in a 5 gallon bucket but you need to be careful when doing so. If you mount them too low in the bucket then the cup will rest on the ground/bend before the bottom of the bucket touches the ground.2nd, the "removable" insert for easy cleaning isn't the easiest to remove for whatever reason. On top of that, dirt and poo manage to get past that liner so even if you do get it out, there is still stuff in the main part of the cup that you need to wash out. It's a good idea, just not implemented in the best way.3rd, if it's going to be below freezing where you are, you can pretty much forget about using these in a bucket sort of setup. Even if you place the bucket on a heater the water in the cups themselves will freeze. If you aren't in a climate where this is possible then this should be a nonissue for you.Overall, they are okay and 3/5 seems like a fair review.

But they tend to leak. I make do because they're so convenient, but I do have to fill up the waterer frequently due to leakage. I think I could resolve the issue with some sealant but I like to be able to turn the cups sideways for cleaning.

These have made keeping water for my chickens much easier!!! I no longer need to refill their waterers every day. I installed these on five gallon buckets. And yes they are VERY easy to install. However, the instructions will have you install them about one inch from the bottom of whatever container you choose. I recommend installing about 2 inches from the bottom. If you don’t, the cups will rest on the ground forcing them up which causes them to leak. Also, you will need something to raise them up off the ground or coop floor to keep them from leaking if you don’t install the cups high enough. there are times I just need to place them on the ground or coop floor and I can’t do that. So I have to place the buckets on top of cinderblocks. I will have to purchase more buckets and reinstall these cups higher. But, the cups work great!!! They are durable (I’ve bumped and banged them a few times and they haven’t broken.) they are easy to clean, just rotate them to dump any dirty water and then rotate them back into position and you’re done. I really love that they refill automatically and there’s no water wasted or dumped over daily in the coop. I purchased these for my chickens but my dogs love drinking out of these also, so they could work for dogs also! Great product and I would definitely purchase again.

Thanks for the additional bonus, it is good idea to have always water stock during summer. The cons is we need to clean the cup periodically as it may contain debris from surrounding area.
