These are way too easy for the chickens to knock the bowl off. Needs inprovement to keep the bowl on the valve.

I had a couple of chickens in the chicken hospital, and needed a water that they would not spill constantly. Purchase these and found an old peanut container and made a water out of it & even put it up on Pinterest. It was exactly what I needed and worked really well. Just had to make sure the cups were completely screwed in and there was no leakage whatsoever! I also have them in my 5 gallon bucket waterer as well and they work great! Super easy to install and if I can do it anybody can!

This product replaced the leaky valves that came with the water dispenser I installed in our coop. Several of the plastic nuts that go on the inside of the dispenser broke during installation, but since I only needed 3, I had more than enough to spare.I was concerned that the hens might not know how to use this cup instead of the button style valve, but they figured it out right away. Without the leaky valves, I'm saving lots of water and don't have to refill the dispenser nearly as often. Happy hens = happy wife = happy life (as they say...)

The cups do not stay on the valve adapter stem.The cups are easily knocked off by chickens bumping into the cups and turning them.I had to glue cups in place! The spring that controls the valve comes lose,then the water just pours out draining my water bin.Now when the chickens bumps the cups the threaded stem that goes into the pvc fittingeasily breaks off leaving the threaded part in the pvc, creating a nice big hole todrain the water bin!
