I'm sure it's fine. I just didn't get the drill bit. When it arrived, the package containing the caterers was open and bit was missing.Still need to find the correct one.

Pretty good quality, did over tighten one and snapped it at the neck. Drill bit fits perfectly, not to loose, not to tight, doesn't leak at all, no thread tape nessacery. My chickens are trained on the bottom of the bucket nipples so I don't think they will have a problem learning the side nipples. Would buy again!

If you have chickens, this is the item you want. I don't know how many times I've had to clean out watering cup or refill my 32 gallon watering bucket because the chickens broke a cup off and the whole bucket drained out. These work very well with heater system to keep the chickens watered in the cold.

These nipples were extremely easy to install in the 5 gallon bucket we used to make a chicken waterer. No tape was needed, just drill holes with the included drill bit and push them in. No leaking.

I was using the cups first. But my girls would bump into them or try to perch on them which would then break off. Also, they collect the sand from their dusting. This meant I would have to clean the cups every two days. With these nipples, they learned to use them quickly and Maintenace is zero.

I was so tired of cleaning straw and p**p out of my chicks water dishes (2-3 times a day). I bought the 16 pack and installed 6 of these on a 5 gallon bucket and filled it with water. I was worried that the learning curve for my 3-4 week old chicks would take a while. I set the bucket in the brooder on some blocks, and within about 5 seconds one chick started pecking the nipple. Before I could get my phone out, all of them were joining in. I haven't touched the water in almost a week now, and the chicks seem plenty happy. One nipple snapped in half when I was tightening the wing nut, but I think I was just being a little over zealous to make sure it would not leak. Would definitely buy again.
